Ever since I sold my '02 TRD AC 4x4, I've been missing the 4x4, even though I had used it very seldom; I knew if I had it, it would come in handy in those situations where it was needed. I had sold it and bought this: [IMG]

I had really wanted a Double Cab, and this seemed to fit the bill. However, I would pass or see a 4x4, and would find myself wishing I had waited to get one...anyway, I found this 05 TRD Off-Road 4x4 DC at a local Toyota dealer in ABQ, a certified used, and it only has 23900 miles...I had to check it out; you know the rest...I left the Prerunner at the dealer and drove this home...I love it, it rides great, everything works perfectly, and I'm back in a 4x4...can't wait to get this up to Colorado around Ouray...

Sure it cost a little more than the Prerunner, and is an '05 instead of an '06, but I really like the Impulse Red, it's a one owner vehicle that has been in Albuquerque all it's truck life, and NO MORE TPMS!!! I don't know if it's just me, but this truck seems to run, shift, and generally work smoother than the '06...I can only hope it's one of those legendary Toyotas as far as reliability and quality...

Thanks, all. One negative in the switch...my new Bridgestone Duelers went with the Prerunner  Somewhere down the road, I'll get some for this truck...

Good truck, just need to get rid of those awful rugged fails or no amount of 4x4 will get you unstuck.

Agreed. Next 'Buy 3 get 1 Free' Sale at Firestone, I'll have those replaced...

At least they're not Dunlops...I have a brand new set of those in my back yard from the Prerunner on the stock steelies that I still need to get rid of...

Good Find- even better local and with low mileage... I had to fly to bakersfield Ca to get what I Wanted. And if its well taken care of in NM thats a gem... IDK if its just me but NM trucks always seem extra abused...

I was able to check out the truck in, around, and under at the dealership before anyone came around, and it seems to be still like new. There were no drips, leaks, rust, or any type problems that I could find, and I'm pretty picky. After the test drive to check out the tranny, transfer case, and rear locker, I was pretty impressed overall, and decided it was worth the extra cost. It has an XM radio unit of some sort clipped on to the AC vent just right of the steering wheel, and an antenna thingie outside over the middle of the windshield that I'm not quite sure what to do with...

Other than that, it seems to be in perfect condition, with a minimum of nicks and dings in the paint, and the interior has no stains or rips that I can find. The AutoCheck report showed it bought and staying in and around ABQ since '05.
