What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Added mud guards from Amazon. Kinda' wish they were more flexible...like on my old 2000 Tacoma.

 

Ordered my extended length 5100's for the back. For any of you looking to lift the back, 1.5" is MAX on stock length shocks. Not even sure i'd go over 1" I'm at 2.5" in the back and I only have about 1.5" of down travel if that. I wasn't paying attention when I put the lift in, explains why the back rides like a tank.

 

Question: Would a front plate bumper look ridiculous or half-assed with smaller 265/70-17 BFG KO2 tires (read: not 33” - 35”s), stock LCAs and stock rear bumper? I’m trying to decide my next plan of attack.

Ordered my OEM roof rack from Toyota today. Can't wait to get them on.

 

Upgrade your bulbs with some good60 watt LED bulbs. Night and day difference.

Are the led bulbs that much better?

 

Dipped the chrome bumper inserts, and "installed" the black lettering.

 

-A/C Drain mod
-Washed (been about a month)
-First oil change (Mobile 1 0W-20 advanced fuel economy)

 

what is this AC drain mod?

 

Significantly brighter.

 

There's a sticky on it.

 

Is there a problem with blinding oncoming traffic?

On Stock set up currently, just a little rubbing when hitting a bump or dip on the front end. Will do lift soon but ok for around town.

Not touching the OEM UCAs. Black lugs ordered..

 

The cut off is very clean. I haven't had anyone high beam me as of yet. I have 60 watt low beam, high beam an fogs, all LED. Wired so I can use them all at the same time if need be.

 

Nice, how are you able to have high beams and fog on at the same time?

I'm not a big 1st gen fan but I love the 2nd and 3rd.
