I listened to an interview with Matt of ARB from last year's SEMA Show. He said ARB was designing a full bumper-to-bumper armor package for the 3rd gen Tacoma. He mentioned the Summit Bar that they already had released and also mentioned BP-51 set up, OME set up, skid plates, slider rails, multiple recovery points, and a rear bumper that would soon be released....

That was almost a year ago.

All they have on their website is the Summit Bar, one BP-51 suspension set up, and three OME suspension set ups. Where is everything else they promised?

The BP-51 page doesn't even land anywhere....

Well if you really want to see the good stuff... you have it right there in front of you.
Just look under the covers... later tonight of course.
You can post your findings on the Haiku thread! That would be awesome!

Probably because they aren't manufacturing yet. I love me some ARB but they've been awful delivering new products in the 4Runner world.

ARB USA has been giving the "2 more months" runaround to that crowd for about a year + now. The one guy running their field test prototype has even given up trying to defend them. The positive is that they're prioritizing the 3rd gen Taco accessories over many of their other future offerings.

Are you sure? It doesn't seem like they are putting us first.

Not sure what the rules are about linking external forums so I won't - the other large T4R forum out there has a massive, 36 page, thread about their snorkels specifically; feel free to PM for a link. The guy with the prototype has mentioned over and over that Tacos specifically will get priority in the US due to their market share alone (higher consumer base for them).

I'm not defending them or the fact that they have some serious issues on their tooling/supply chain/strategic planning or whatever is causing them to not be able to produce what they're actually testing in the field.

Edit: Adding link to above referenced thread

Thanks JB. I edited my post to add the link. This is laughable to me, but the ARB/5th gen snorkel saga has been going on for almost 2 years now.

It's almost as bad as the "TRD supercharger" (air quotes because it never happened) for the dual VVTi engines in 5th Runners and late model FJs.

Tacoma's are getting the priority. When the 5th gen 4Runner's refresh came out in 2014, they didn't make a bumper for the changed front end. That is pretty amazing to me because I think the 3rd gen's front end looks more difficult to make a bumper for but they got it done.

I feel bad for 4Runner owners who are ARB fans. Even the newly redesigned Land Cruiser is getting products from them. But the Land Cruiser is their bread and butter on world markets.

And that's the difference. World market vehicles get priority with them also. If I'm not mistaken the 3rd gen Runners were world market (Hilux Surf everywhere else?). Tacos and 5th gen 4Runners aren't. As you mentioned, the refreshed 5th gen 4Runner bumper is another good example of them dropping the ball for the 4Runner crowd.

wow that is one ugly snorkel. No wonder it's not in production. that front window just doesn't hose a snorkel well

The thread is confusing but if we're looking at the same one I disagree. Then again it's hard to look bad on an Inferno 4Runner with like $20k+ worth of mods.
