    Do you know if anyone has used your shackle flip with the BAMF Shock relocation and All Pro standard leaf springs? That's my plan for my rear end and it would be great to ask some questions about which bolt hole location to use on your kit as well as shock length.

    There are 4 or 5 owners running this kit with All-Pro standard 3" packs but I do not know if they have shock relocation or not.

    All-Pro's website says the Expo and Standard springs are identical in dimension, eye-to-eye and wheel travel:
    "All-Pro's Expedition Leaf Springs feature a 20% higher spring rate than their standard leaf springs. They are otherwise identical in dimension and quality, providing the same eye-to-eye measurements and wheel travel. On unloaded Tacomas, they will result in a 1" taller stance than the stated lift height of 3". The stated lift height is maintained with loads of 400-500 lbs of cargo."

    I think the All-Pro eye-to-eye length is perfect. The brackets middle position puts shackle angle at 45deg, requiring only 1 extra hole drilled per side, and the rearmost position puts shackle angle at 30deg using all 4 factory rivet holes without drilling any new holes.
    30 degrees provides plenty of droop for 11-12" travel.

    Quick question for all of you suspension gurus. I'll make this as brief as possible...

    I put this shackle flip on my truck with Dakars and B110's as seen earlier in this thread. I'm running Superbumps. The other day I had the opportunity to flex it with a fork lift.

    I lifted the passenger rear tire until the drivers side rear tire JUST left the ground. At this point the Superbump was just kissing the frame. I measured from the point of what would be full compression on the Superump up th to frame. I got 2". So... I figured the shock was fully compressed and that was the size spacer that I'd need. 2"

    So, I put 2" square tubing on the frame as a spacer.

    Now, I've been directed to @Crom 's build page with instructions on the proper way to measure for bump stops.

    The length of the shock compressed per Bilstien is 16.34".

    At ride height on my truck the shock is 21.5" So 21.5 - 16.34 = 5.16" of travel left in the shock.

    I have 3 5/8" from the point that I believe would be the fully compressed Super bump to the bottom of the extension that I've added.

    I thought by flexing it with the fork lift, the shock would've been fully compressed for sure... Guess I was wrong. I'm assuming it's the Dakars that're the limiting factor in up travel then?

    My question is, I guess, if I flexed the truck with the fork lift enough to lift the opposite side tire, it's not ever going to stuff anymore than that anyway, right?

    Now I don't know what to do. Cut the extensions off or leave them. Damn it. Any insight?

    What does your shackle and springs look like at full stuff?

    Also, at full stuff, what is the measurement from shock mount to shock mount?

    What is the measurement at full droop shock mount to shock mount?

    You want a shock that will operate in that range, with about an .5"-1" left in the shock at max compression/droop. Then set up your bump stops to have about .5"-1" of compression, when the .5"-1" of shock travel is left in the shock.

    Well you would want some amount of safety, at least a half inch but I would say 1 inch. so maybe I'm wrong but there is only 1/2" left? I say leave it as is. I think that looks slick and problem handled

    I vote cut them off, mainly cause that looks heinous ;). Personally I'd rather space the Super Bump up rather than have something welded to the frame but maybe that's just me.

    Also, space the bumps so that the springs can't go into negative arch and you don't bottom out your shocks. I think so long as you have those two things going for you all is well.

    Well, if I measured correctly, I have 5.16" of travel left in the shock. 3 5/8" from compressed Superbump to bottom of extension. 5/8" = .625.

    So, 5.16 - 3.625 = 1.535" of "safety" roughly 1/2" too much. Is a 1/2" really worth changing it you think? Especially, when the forklift won't get the suspension to cycle that much anyway?

    No so worried about the looks of it. I was going to put plugs in the end though. With the 35's it's pretty muck blocked anyway unless you're looking for it.

    As far as negative arch. The Dakars are pretty flat static. If they don't go negative, you don't have any flex.

    I'm guessing no. When you lift with a forklift, you do a nice easy controlled lift. When you're out on the train, everything that we do is greatly exaggerated. Bouncing, jolts, lot's of of-camber with obstacles.

    I think we're miscommunicating somewhere. If I understand correctly, you measured your shock length at ride height. Then you took that measurement and subtracted the advertised collapsed length, giving you the amount of up travel you should have, but you're bump stops are not contacting the frame.

    Did you take a collapsed measurement of the shock when you had the truck flexed out? How long are you shocks at max extended length? That could also be why the other side might not be getting flexed out as far.

    The difference in the .5" when the rear is adjusted correctly is ultimately up to you. The nice thing about bumps is the save the shock. While driving down the road, they most likely will not make contact, but those times when there is a hard fall or serious off camber situation, the bumps may collapse more than the .5"

    I'd have to look it up again, but just over 27" that makes sense though. That it could be the fully extended side holding things up.

    @HolyHandGrenade I think you are correct in spacing the bump stop up using the square tubing.

    With the shackle flip, it appears to me that you must watch for three things during compression.
    1. Collapsed length of shock.
    2. Springs going negative arch.
    3. Shackle angle
    Since the shackle flip enables more droop, and decreases up travel, #1 above isn't that much of an issue with the B110 and your truck. So I think you just have to watch for the springs.

    The only thing I can add is that I think your test is good with the fork lift, but when wheeling, dynamic forces will cause more up travel.
