No mechanicals, i.e.: squeaks, howling noises, tranny problems, no complaints with truck etc

But all the trucks have squeaks, howling noises, and tranny issues... Regardless of what you hear on this forum, 99% of our trucks are identical. Although lemons exist, several of the loudest opposed have the same truck another member loves.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.

Same as many, when bought new it was 1.5 qts low on tranny fluid.
Other than that, after 6,000 miles.....no issues.
Love the truck, a TRD OffRoad 4x4.

Mexico. Truck is at the dealership getting two tires replaced. Two bad tires from the factory which made a wuhwuhwuh noise between 45-55mph. Kinda blame the tires, not the truck. Other than that, no issues. The dealership has been great thus far taking care of the issue and giving me a decent loaner.

Your leafs will squeak eventually if you off road enough, I love my truck, the issues are more like nit picks, yeah it shouldn't happen but its not a predictor of premature failure or a reliability concern.

yes, define issues. My hood and tail gate glue came apart and I'm currently getting a new differential. I don't consider those issues, though

Issue; low tranny fluid. Annoyances; defective driver door seal, replaced, LCA howl, plugged, tranny tsb applied. Nothing else so far, just enjoying my new truck.

If I have to spend time in the shop to have toyota repair it, it is an issue. And in many cases they still have no official fix for these issues

I voted, but these threads never work. Experiencing the issues depends heavily on the driver's driving conditions.

Differential howl? Maybe I only heard it because I usually drive with no music.

Small rumble vibration coming to a stop? Maybe I only noticed it because I read about it here. All service techs that have driven my truck haven't felt it.

Buzzing vibration in steering wheel? I have a manual transmission, it is very easy to find myself stuck in that RPM range. Bugs me, but I've had people drive it that say "eh, no big deal, you're just feeling the engine through the mounts"

Hood vibrating? Big issues for others, I see mine flex and I don't really care.

I can go on and on, but the point is that what I consider issues, others may not notice or care about and vice versa.

Does my Tacoma have annoying quirks that I'm dissapointed to see on a $30k truck? Yes, quite a few. Has it left me stranded yet or failed to do anything that I asked of it? No. But I would expect nothing less on a brand new truck at 9k miles, regardless of manufacturer.

I'm waiting to see the 150k, 200k, 250k+ mile reports on these trucks. That is where we will really know how well Toyota did. I always laugh at the people that get a hard on over Toyota quality and say "all I had to do was change the oil!" but come to find out, they get a new truck every few years or 30, 40, 50 thousand miles.
