I have both. Like them both.

I think 7+1 is pretty impressive for a gun that size. I have a CCO size 1911 in 9mm that's lots bigger & heavier and it's 8+1. Heck - I carry the shield in khakis just like I did my snubbie 38 before it, and it held 5. Going from 5 to 8 is significant to me - it's a 60% increase in round count.

Here in CA IMO the choice for a wee gun is easy. 10 round limit for mags. Glock 26, 10 round capacity. Sadly the g23 is LEO only, but I'm not sure the tiny advantage in width is worth the extra rounds anyway.

Yeah I daily carry a G27 (same dimensions as G26) right now, but it's just too fat and heavy for me. 9+1 isn't bad for how powerful the .40 can be IMO, but I am opting for the shield9 for daily carry, as the dimensions fit my body much better then the baby glock does. I'll lose an extra round and move down to a smaller hitting bullet if it means I can be more comfortable on a daily basis. I'll keep the G27 for camping. Also, the G23 is not LEO only, unless you meant the G43. Lol. And you can still get one of those as well, you just have to jump through a couple more hoops to get it. Or know a LEO who wants to sell theirs.

Wow.... really? Yikes. That's pretty ridiculous! My dad has one, and he let me shoot it when I was visiting a couple of weeks ago. It's a great little shooter.... but nothing the shield isn't I suppose. I think at that point it just comes down to brand loyalty and fan boys that will pick what they know best. Lol also, the price of the shield 9 was cheaper then the glock by at least 50 bucks. Not too shabby IMO hehe

I just bought my second gun in two weeks. Ordered a Springfield XDs 9mm and 2 more Alien Gear holsters. I'll post pictures when they come in.

I shot a buddy's XDs 45 and loved it. I'm hoping the 9 will be as good.
Also put about 150 round through my new XD 45 and couldn't be happier with it.

If you love the 45 , you'll love the 9 even more. I have both and haven't picked the 45 up in quote a while.

I hope so. These are the first pistols I've ever personally owned and I'm more than pleased. I had whatever I wanted growing up but they were all my parents guns so I'm hoping to build a decent collection myself.

Nice start! I also just picked up the Springfield mod 2 and was really pleased with it. I would say its pretty close to the XD line just updated a little.

I looked into those as well but I figured the XD would fit my needs. All I want is better sights for it and I'll be pleased. Just another expensive hobby.
