I've been fine this whole time with stock skids. Aluminum will be plenty for me.

If you've been fine with stock skids this whole time you aren't wheeling hard enough :p

If I was him I'd get BAMF's 1/4" skids honestly. Those are the only skid plates that will actually hold up to hard abuse

    @Mobtown Offroad makes aluminum skids.

I just can't see the extra money for something more prone to destruction.

When i need to use the skids, i want there to be less of a chance that i'll have to unbolt them and hammer them back out lol

True but that weight affects 1/4 mile times and in my case possibly spring rate on the front end lol

I have been debating steel or aluminum for a little while now... I have gouges in my tranny pan

I'm pretty much done doing race truck things. Just don't enjoy beating it like a ferrari anymore.

I need a drift missile for that.

But for now, this gets me by:

With age comes a cage lol

My knees are bad enough I had to give up the street bikes so I can't imagine a dirt bike. Still ride a cruiser though... And race truck things... seen my truck? lmao

Edit: Aren't you local to me? lol I think we have met lol

    We have not.

I've seen this slime green slider prerunner all over the forum and a little bit on instagram.

I'm in Maryland and have never been west of Montana lol

I'll be on a motorcycle as long as i'm able bodied. It may not be a heavy street and trail that beats me to death. But it'll be two wheels. I'm hooked.

no.. it means I just dont bash into shit.. and know how to wheel.

Case in Point - Cody used all his skid plates, and hit his front bumper on the same trail. Sorry @StOrMyThEtAcO :pout:

sweet.. I get to use this again..

You guys all stick to your Steel armor.. if it works for you, cool.

I like how my truck performs still (sand drags especially ), hence why I havent gone with bumpers or anything with substantial weight yet. Now, once the truck gets paid off and becomes the toy (checked yesterday and its getting closer :fingerscrossed:) then all that goes out the window ..
