FYI for those thinking of getting the Undercover Elite bed cover, if you have the push button start you can't use your tailgate key for the bed cover lock. Undercover sent me 2 locks and the tailgate key won't work with it. They finally sent me a lock with a key. So I'm back to having 2 keys again.

 

What brand LEDs do you have? Do you have an issue with the fog light coming on by themselves 4 hours after you turn off the engine like some people have had. The link you provided is posted by someone with a 2015. Is it the same as the 2016?

Well, technically the glass by itself does block some uv. Hence, the reason transition glasses lenses don't get dark inside vehicles.

Hi. I'm new to this forum. And had recently bought a 2016 TACOMA SR5 FULL CAB LONG BED. I have been crazy on trying to get what would be a perfect size of rims and tires i should purchase for my truck without having it lifted and not rubbing on to anything. I am hoping to have the wheels pop out the body by about 1"-2". Please help me out figuring whatni like for my upcoming bday. Thank you in advance. I love my Lifted 1982 Datsun 4x4 720 reg cab, been my daily driver for the past 34 years and still going strong. Everything rebuilt from suspension, new 5 speed trans, 32x11.5 x15 BFG KO, Weber/ Doug Thorley Headers. Slowly body working it with paint to follow. Getting harder to find aftermarket parts is why I'm now a Tacoma newbee for little over a month. TRD OR 4x4 DCSB MT.

 

Never had an issue with fog lights coming on unintentionally. The link I posted has a bunch of info that is relevant to the 2016. Bulbs I used are from Amazon

Oh I bet Aaron will bounce back just fine, but they better figure something out. I would have liked to see what Teddy could do this year but now who knows? Bradford looked good but it was only one week.

 

Does the entire scoop assembly lift right off after you remove the 4 nuts and release the orange tab on the underside of the hood, as shown in these pics?

 

Yes. The only other attachment point is the four screws that hold the mesh part to the actual scoop itself.

 

I guess I missed it, but what did you do to the your hood and what you doing to scoop?
