    Nawww...opposite end of the spectrum there. I want an electric w/ digital probe so I can maintain temps and step down to a keep warm after reaching target temp all while at work an hour away!! ;)

    Smokin-it electric smokers use like 4 ounce of wood per smoke...set it and let it do its thang!! No pulling to a cooler either, the box is that well insulated. Things supposedly maintain temps at -10F outside temps, no problems

    The less expensive it is, the more forgiving it is. It really depends on how much time you want to invest for your first cook. Chicken will be fast. Pork butt will be slow. Drumsticks or wings are easy, fast, cheap, and delicious.
