It looks like, to Google, it's a similar distance to either round trip from Oakland, if you start the first leg in Santa Clara. However you've got me thinking that it might be smarter to go to Hollister. IDK. I didn't really want to do all that 101, the trip up 130 from SJ seemed a lot more pleasing a notion. Anyway, one or the other at this point. Thanks.

Yeah, it's way down there. I would have cleaned it out and then taken it in... What's the price?

Took a close look at it after a good wash and i can see clean copper up top. Didn't take a real close look.
Going after work though to look at what they see.

Quoted me 900$ for the part. Deal at 700$ (Canadian)

Ahh, I don't know. I'm glad mine is ok as I've been through some water crossings that have covered my tires

I love watching these type of videos while I'm programming stuff at work... but there was one thought running through my mind while watching these videos...

That poor brand new paint job.

I'm not planning on being that guy that waxes his truck every weekend, but I think I'm going to give myself a few years before I bring myself to knocking down trees in the woods... lol

    Thanks.

Yeah I get that; I'm not a fan of narrow trails for obvious reasons. Sure I've had my fair share of blemishes but thankfully they are hard to see and easy to buff out. I buff it every 3-6 months so I don't burn the clearcoat and keep it slick with wax\sealant to help. I found a trail about 2 hours from where I am that seems to be pretty wide that I hope to check out in the coming weeks.

I do however steer clear of deep water (especially after an incident I had not too long ago), steep drop-offs and large rocks. I have a full set of RCI skids and still it makes me super nervous. I know they can handle a lot but I'd rather not take the chance...yet. I cut out a few moments out of me saying "Nope" and backing out of the trail to a point where I could turn around.
