While pulling stuff out, I actually came across invoices dated June 2006. But I finally got all the pieces, so here are a few pics.

    Everything's ripped out:

    Front door mids:

    Front door tweets:

    Suicide door mid basses:

The Hifonics amp that runs the mids and highs, under the passenger's seat:

Elemental Designs 8" in my custom box:

We ran the wires for the sub through the storage box, and left enough wire to put the sub anywhere out of the way if I need the seats folded down and all the space available for hauling:

The Elemental Designs amp that runs the sub:

And here's what it looks like with everything in place. All tucked away and hidden:

    Thanks everyone!

I could get some sound clips tomorrow, sure! I actually had one when I was taking the pics. I didn't realize my camera was set on video. All you could really hear was a little bit of music, and me cussing. I thought about throwing it up here too, but the radio wasn't turned up loud enough to hear anything.

I really like them so far. I've got no complaints. The tweets are SUPER crisp, and the midbass drivers fill in the area between the mids and bass perfectly.

Thanks! I'm kinda proud of it. It took 2 full days to build.

    Thankye! And, you're welcome.

Thanks, Jim. Nope, that's my buddy Joe. He has 15 years of stereo experience, and it definitely came in handy!

When installing, was it necessary to take out ALL of the interior? What does this process entail? The reason I ask is because I am thinking I am going to be doing a complete Dynamat extreme install and am a little anxious about the removal of interior components. From my experience in the past with other cars, after a certain point, finesse only goes so far. Sometimes, against all logic, you have to pull harder and faster. Is this true for the tacoma?

It definitely made it easier to run the wires underneath the carpet, and having the seats out made it easy to screw down the amps.

The seats only have 4 bolts each and a few airbag sensor plugs in the bottom. There really wasn't anything to it.

Very cool. After working on mine this past weekend, it seems like it would definitely be worth taking everything out.

    Your setup looks awesome btw!

I agree, things look good. I'll bet tearing the interior out and getting it back together was a beast.

Nah, putting things back was way easier than taking them out. It's almost like we knew how to do it!
