I realized shortly after I bought it, that I now have a white truck......and a white bike...looks strange, might just have to buy that red ducati monster 1100s

I've only ridden honda's, never had a dirt bike, i've been told several times to get one, not because its alot of fun, but it would really help the street bike skills as well. In one way I agree with you about ducati's, mainly in the sense that they're extremely overpriced for just being italian. But i've thought about just gettin a street fighter style bike. The other bike i've looked into was a triumph speed triple...or even gettin a custom cruiser...a'la a sucker punch sally 66 bobber :D

For the most part, I love ducati's, the ducati monster 1100S is the first one I really wanted. Obviously i'd love an 848, or a 1098, but anyone who rides knows, that eventually you'll go down, and i would literally cry lowsidin something like that $$$

cumulus...I dig your red rides dude! I'm hopin after this deployment, and with the money ive saved, i wouldn't mind pickin up a white Duc, or a white c6z06 :)

i don't like the thumper sound of the Ducati's. fit and finish is nice. my buddy had a 1100s monster and it is not for me, slow and not my style. the main thing i don't like about ducati is the maintenance. i think the first one was 3500 and i about shit when he told me that.

The slow part isn't any big deal to me, as i'll still have the 600rr, the duc monster is torquey as all hell if you check out its stats, 85 or 90 hp (thats 600f4i numbers for hp mind you) and 75.9lbft of torque, with a dry weight of 373lbs. It would make for a nice rider to use on just cruises and goin back and forth from work on nice days. I never really cared for 1000cc bikes, as I enjoy the tiny light nimble frames of 600's. Plus after being lifeflighted off of Palomar from being hit head on by a doucher in a corvette, i feel i can kill myself just as easily on my "slow" 600cc bike as I could on a full litre bike :)

ah it's cool, different strokes and all that
I had an 800 monster and I loved it. Not as fast no, but with the right rider you can have a lot of fun in different ways than on a typical sport bike.

not trying to thread jack here though..

DuderAbides, be careful where ever you are and come home safe

i agree with both, you can die on anything with all the dipshits out there. When i bought my bike i wanted a 600 but the 1000 felt better and more compact. i am 5'7 and around 200#. back on topic congrats on the truck now start modding.

you can always powder coat yourself or just paint them the color you want, they will get scrathed up anyways and why pay good money when you will just have to spray them again anyways.
