Depends on how scarred up your drum is. Otherwise it's a spool off, take out the screw holding the tail, and spool back on. I run a SEO winchline, much better and safer than steel. (And lighter!)

If your drum is scarred up, you need to file any burrs down, and change the fairlead to a hawse.

I think that's what everybody does. I rarely can get on here at work. It's weird. They don't have TW blocked and I can log in, but the the reply box is missing. If I "like" a post, it takes me to another page to confirm I really want to like that post. I've always wanted to ask @tcBob how they do that, and I guess I just did.. If I post anything, I have to use my phone.

I'm on D shift with my company. My nephew is the Delta shift Lt for Anderson County sheriff's office, and his is the same as mine, too.
