Use them to smuggle some kokaine.

    But seriously folks...

I dump them in the kitchen garbage container (lined with a bag) to keep any enticing trash odors at bay so the dogs don't get into the garbage cans outside. But, best thing to do is use them in compost bin.

Ditto, my plumber told me years ago what a PITA onions can be. Norfolk, VA has terrible problems with harden grease in the main lines. The stuff becomes hard as rock.

Fill up the sink once a week with hot water all the way to the top the pull plug use tongs if to hot. turn on disposal power flush the drain. If you have a double sink do both sides the disposal will create a vacuum and suck out other side faster as well. I've be doing that for 13years and no issues. And I put grounds twice a day.

It's definitely a bad idea to put anything down the drain other than liquids. That said, I adopted using a French Press about 17 years ago and pour the grounds down the drain every single day. Hasn't caused me trouble yet but like Hunter S Thompson said, "I knew it was wrong, I did it anyway".

Good suggestions here. I have seen several drain field failures due to coffee grounds. Public sewer isn't as much of an issue, but you can still mess up your plumbing and/or the pipe that you are responsible for that ties your house into the sewer trunk line. As everyone else is saying, compost or trash is best for disposal.

Dislike renters who abuse a home they do not own.

Dumping solids or draining grease into sinks, or flushing tampons down the toilet, because they know they are not responsible for the repair costs. Pity the landlord.
