Tore the main wiring harness under the Tacoma cab Labor Day weekend which killed the truck. Turned around last weekend and wheeled the Land Cruiser just as hard which had my wife rolling her eyes at me because I still don't have the Tacoma fixed yet.

Luckily she digs it and is starting to ask the right questions about taking her Trail Premium 4Runner off-road. If I get my wishes I'll make some mild upgrades to it.

That's what I call managing for results! ;)

I've learned over the years that I can prolong her help by pretending to be interested in something that she finds interesting. "Honey, tell me about that new book you're reading..." That's good for about 5-10 minutes. Then when she stops, I'll ask her another question related to what she just said, which shows I'm pretending to listen... Good for another 3-5 minutes. I just keep that up, then intuitively offer to switch topics of conversation to something else she cares about. She does the same for me, pretends to hear me when I need to be heard. lol :D

Same here! Mine side swiped a wall in a parking structure because she was day dreaming while driving home from the mall!

We sure do play a lot of games with each other though. A lot selective hearing sessions, hiding from each other when the other needs help with a chore. Don't make direct eye contact when requests are being made, because then the other knows you've been heard. lol

Yeah can't really win against each other since we are on the same team!

That's awesome! Sometimes I like to tell mine what's going on with the truck, other times, things just happen. :notsure::)

    Time for some face-palm.

When I discovered I needed to replace the CSB for the drive shaft, I had heard it was $220+ a dealer only part.

I bought the IEDLS bearing for $97 delivered instead.

Decided to sell IEDLS bearing and stay with stock bearing.

I ordered a Genuine Spicer CSB from an online retailer.

Genuine Spicer CSB received. It's a perfect CSB for a 4x2 truck (my fault).

Call dealer, provide VIN for correct part number for 4x4 CSB. List is $244, I took it home for $199.

Still believing it's a dealer only part, I search the interwebs... Nope, Found it for $155.

I gave it to the mad scientist at the drive shaft shop yesterday... Hoping for a quick turn around.

Thanks to @samiam for helping me discover my error of the 4x2 bearing before going to the DS shop, and to @nfs257 for hinting to me I might be going down the wrong path... :D

And only because I had both, there are the two CSB compared side by side.

The 4x4 CSB had a Toyota part number stamped into the rubber. When searching the web, it comes up for Toyota Hilux, not the Tacoma. Box was labeled correctly though. This leads me to believe that the Hiliux and 4x4 Tacoma have same part.

I think they would find it humorous. I don't try to hide TW from her, but she has absolutely no interest.

I share the feeling. I told mine that after the bumper goes on the truck I'd like to relay her comments, so she knows some of what she says is showing up here. lol

Me too. In fact, I especially refer her to your thread when you have pics of the kids and everyone camping and exploring.

But I don't show her the threads where I'm being a complete dick for fun and describing depraved acts and philosophies or punching 3rd genners in the nuts. Or looking at animated booty gifs.

Maybe a blessing that you couldn't separate the two sections of the DS. You would have put it all back together and realized something was wrong.

Relentless Fab sent me a hunk of aluminum.

It appears to be in the shape of a tailgate skin, so I think I'm in good shape. :D

Hey Sam, This is probably one of the most humorous posts I've seen from you, regarding wives. It was one I shared with mine. She commented something like, Oh Sam!, Isn't it good thing that wife is involved in the truck building process? Don't send them away...

    That's pretty awesome!

That was my first mod on the 2015. Because floor mats really aren't mods. Nor is the bed mat.

^ same for me. The best or worst was when were dating and I was rebuilding the balcony of my (our) house. She was hammering some nails and she hit her thumb with the hammer!. She threw the hammer down and said she quit and was heading for her car. If I didn't follow her out and do some serious ass kissing I may never of seen her again. Were about to celebrate our 11th anniversary. She helps a lot and it's why she's a keeper, among other reasons. But Does she give me shit about all the time and $$ spent on the truck? Does a bear shit in the woods? in her mind the truck was perfectly good the way it was ---- Some times I agree with her.

Whoa. That would constitute a breach of security. One does not simply not know if one's wife has or does not have an account on TW.
