I'm driving myself crazy trying to choose the best color combo to go with MGM. Black with silver metalizer, gun metal with silver or graphite metalizer, black with graphite metalizer, etc. Anyone have any pics of their MGM with dipped wheels and the color combo? I've rooted through 100+ pages of this thread already, definitely not going straight black.

Did my side view mirrors in time for the offroading in Colorado soon.
    Will do back bumper next.
Maybe the tailgate just for the trip, then I'll peel that off.

bluezzy, When you did the badges did you spray a coat every 10 min. or so and then peel right after the last coat..?? The can says to wair 30 min. between coats, but I've heard other ideas as well..??

When I sprayed mine, I waited until it no longer looked wet (about ten minutes) and then sprayed the next coat. I waiting about the same amount of time after the last coat before I peeled the masking. In my experience, if you wait much longer, it makes it harder to get a clean edge peel.

I would say that I waited between 8-15 minutes between each coat, 6 coats and it came out just like they said it would... and btw, it survived the car wash a while ago.

Make sure you do a good 6-7 coats on the emblems, and maybe an extra coat going top down.. The corners of the T will start to rub away if they're too thin, especially if you do car washes.

I had to redo mine after about 18 months. But they still look good.

Does anyone have pictures of blacked out sport rims? I'm thinking of going for a storm trooper look on my gen 1 with black emblems and wheels.

@Tacotruck7 just make sure you do a lot of coats so it's thick and take your time. I'd still have them on but I got stealth 6 wheels instead now I just need to sell my stock rims

Here's the finished product. Still might do a few more coats. The SR5 logo needs to be done too.
