Hockey Trash Talk & BS thread

On W10 on ESPN streak and thinking about picking Canada tonight.....not sure thought with US so hungry

 

It doesn't seem to be getting a lot of love anywhere. Local TSN radio is more interested in the upcoming NHL regular season and young stars tourney. Even on television they are late in the sports news. The whole thing feels hollow some how, but I have enjoyed all of the games I have watched. I suspect tonight's will get some attention.

 

This tournament is definitely not as exciting as the NHL hockey

 

Honestly is not getting the love it should, but come on it's hockey with great players that we love. I enjoy every single moment of it.

 

The only athletes that get excited for the Olympics are ones that play a sport people only pay attention to every four years.

I love it. It's the worlds best players(or should be) in a throw together tournament. It's cool. There should be such variety in pro sport. Soccer does a nice job of it with their international play and champions league tournament. It's great for the players and the fans

The problem is that the NHL is far and away the dominant pro hockey league. The KHL likely isn't good enough to provide competition. I think team NA and Team Europe make this World Cup tourney interesting
