I have searched through the ome questions and answers thread and found very little dealing with the 4cyl 4x4. I would like an ome kit with dakar leaf packs in the future and am curious if the 885 coils are too much for my truck. I have an access cab by the way. Any info would help.

I think 884s would probably be a better choice, unless maybe if you're weighing it down with a winch bumper and skids or something. I'm going with 883s and an aal soon. It is my understanding that this should give me around 1.75" in the front. I also have 2.7l 4x4 access cab. There's some good info in this thread if you sift through it: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2-7l-access-cab-thread.212302/page-76#post-13256185
    Or search it for "884"

885s are a better choice, if you're having any extra front end weight.

I'm running 884s and Dakars on my 2.7 DCSB Prerunner.

We have the same front end set up. No weight go 884 If you add weight go 885.

Thanks for all the input. I went with 884s and the aal for now since i am getting the free recall springs put on next week. I plan to go with Dakars in the future.

I got close to 2.75in of lift in the front but have since put 885s and after market ucas on for a full 3in. I did this mainly because the dakar heavy pack gave me a lot of rake, which i prefer, but thought it was a bit much. Funnier yet, i have recently gotten 886s off of another member on standby, just incase i buy a bumper haha

Nice I think I’m going with the bilstein 5100 with 884s or nitrochargers with 884s, and the heavy pack for my rear with a mid rise camper shell. Hopefully the shelll brings the rake down a little haha. Thanks for the help man if you got any input lemme know for sure!

From what I understand the 4cyl is also a cast iron engine . If the V6 is all aluminum the difference isn't much
