Cool! Still happy I bought my Tacoma over those two other "trucks". I prefer to buy trucks based on other factors and not 0-60 times.

    LMAO

TFL amateurs still trying their best to make a 3rd Gen look bad.
They said which is the fastest in a straight line but did NOT say what the distance was in their straight line.

The race was NOT quarter mile, it was more like 1/8 mile. The race started at 1:05 in the video and ends at 1:15, folks there are no mid sized trucks that run a 10 sec quarter, if they had ran quarter mile they knew the results would be different.

They tried this same BS several months ago.

Nice try amateurs, you get an E for Effort. :facepalm:AGAIN.....

Try not to be so butt hurt buddy. Every TFL video I have seen with the Tacoma they have actually had a lot of praise for the truck. In fact in this video Nathan even declared it the coolest looking. He also owns a Tacoma. Of course if it bothers you that much you could start your own automotive channel and show these "amateurs" how it's done. LOL Frankly I find a lot of their reviews more helpful than most of the puff pieces you get from other sources.

    Butt hurt ? Not hardly.

This is their second video with the 3rd Gen where they did NOT run 1/4 mile, opinions are one thing but facts are facts, it`s basic math, 1:05 to 1:15 is 10 seconds. Everyone knows that the 3rd Gen runs a 15.2 to 15.5 quarter depending on the model.

After their 2nd attempt, even if they did run 1/4 mile I would not trust their driver to not let off, it`s obvious that they are bias when it comes to the race, their other videos are not so bad.

I`m just calling BS for what it is. :notsure:

They never claimed to be running a 1/4 mile. It was just a straight line race. No where in the video did anyone say "This is a 1/4 mile race." Not sure why you're so hung up on that. As far as that Tacoma was behind do you actually believe that if they had run a full 1/4 mile it would have magically pulled ahead and won? No it would still have come in third. Just because the 3.5 Tacoma is slow does not mean that TFL does not like the truck. They love how it off roads and they love how it looks.

PS, Just be glad a Colorado or Canyon was not out there because then the Tacoma would have come in fourth, . . . . possibly even fifth. LOL

That`s my point, they refuse to run it in a 1/4 mile

And YES, it would have passed them easily in another 1/8 mile, it was like .2 secs or less behind them at the 1/8. That`s not magic, that`s horsepower.

LOL No, it would not have. You're free to think whatever you like but I'm sticking with reality. It would still have come in last.

"officially proven" should not be the title....Three trucks taking off from an imaginary line with no "controls" make this a fun trip down a paved strip barely big enough for two trucks, let alone three to travel at high rate of speed lol

It's just a title. Try not to take things so literally lol. It was still fun to watch. The TFL guys actually really like the new Tacoma but it's hardly breaking news that the 3.5 has taken a reputation for being a bit on the slow side.

I'm not seeing a 1/4 mile time there, but if it is 1/4 mile times you are interested in I have some for you.

2016 GMC Canyon SLT 4x4 with 5 foot box

    0 to 60 6.2 1/4 mile 14.5

    2016 Tacoma 4x4 Access cab

    0 to 60 6.6 1/4 mile 15.1

And no I don't spend a lot of time at drag racing strips because frankly what happens at an official drag racing strip means precisely dick on the street.

I've actually owned two. 1998 and 2012, which is why I was considering a third.
