I'm sorry I missed your first post earlier. We have some toilet seats ordered that will be delivered tomorrow. I will try to get them on Friday before she gets home. She absolutely refused a bedside potty. She has to use a walker and one leg to get through the bathroom door sideways, but she can do it. Two therapist came to her house with her Monday to see how she gets around. They suggested the seats and to put some plywood under the sofa cushions to keep her higher for getting up. She did really well for herself. One of her granddaughters will be staying with her at night and the wife will be there during the day.

:notsure: Sitting on an elevated toilet seat?

you could also look at renting an electric recliner it reclines with power but flip the switch the other way and it'll basically stand you up

Never understood when a mass exit happens management doesn't do an overall assessment on the situation and the reasons for. I guess they are to busy round tabling to notice..

Anyone ever think that as you get older the more drama there is in life? I can empathize with almost every post on here, especially lately. Leave in a week and a half to spend 7 days in a cabin on the North Shore of Lake Superior grouse hunting and am more than ready. Well not really have a lot to do yet and that damn work thing seems to always get in the way.

@ImpulseRed008 you're right and I really need to call the vet in the morning. Been going through this for way too long with the oldest dog, but it is time. Past time but it is so hard. Doesn't get any easier as you get older but eventually it clicks. In part because of what you said in an earlier post, thank you very much. He is my responsibility and I want to remember him with at least some quality of life, which isn't very much for either of us right now.

So finally got my kitchen sink drain unclogged. Yep the squirrels have been sticking leaves and acorn hulls in the vent drain on the roof despite having a cap on top. Took 4 days of snaking and inch by inch got it to finally flow down from the vent clog. Well to the main drain and from the cutout could see the debris flow into the main line then it clogged and backed up everything else. Sunday put in Instant Power Main Line cleaner because I couldn't snake it anymore. And my plumber wasn't interested in coming out to take care of it. When they say on the directions to use rubber gloves I recommend make sure they aren't gardening gloves with a cloth backing on top. Snaked the hell out of it yesterday and finally got it open. But Lye with a PH of 13 will do some damage to the skin if you use gardening gloves instead of full length solid rubber gloves.

At least it wasn't on my trigger finger. Am looking forward to some time off and watching the pup work his magic on some birds in the North Woods. Then to South Dakota for phesants and waterfowl. Then back to work for another year to do a repeat if I am blessed and allowed to do so.

good morning all! early ? yep and not a morning person. up since 3:30 showered, dog walked, drove 65 miles, and sitting here at work. so far the only joy I've found coming back here is getting back on the computer here and figuring out they don't have tw censored out of the system. So good morning! I hope you all have good weather, clear skies, and smooth sailing today. have a wonderful day and be thankful for what we have

At almost 29 years, I still have the lowest tenure in a group of 12. We all get 7 weeks of vacation a year so someone is always out. Every meeting we have to watch the war stories or we are there for hours.
We know how the system works and we either fight it or game it. Most of the time it is a train coming down the track and we are just too tired to fight it anymore. The result? Management thinks everything they do is great and has purpose, when in reality it is a waste of time and we end up chasing numbers instead of doing the right thing. I like to think I am immune, but...10 more years to retirement.
