Did Some Breathing enhancements a month or so ago!

Sorry been super busy updating the new website and trying to fix how the parts are loaded. But a month ago I added a AFE intake and before that I did the Magnaflow Cat Back. Super pumped on how these worked out! I know alot of na sayers out there but seriously noticed a difference and made a improvement on how this truck transmission shifts. Look Im used to Big HP every vehicle I have other than this puts down 400+ to the wheels so driving this thing daily has been a bit dull. Especially since I decided to park my Tundra 650+HP so any gain is good! This weekend we will also be installing Nitro 4.88 Gears front and rear stay tuned. Yeah I would be looking at a Master Kit. For a minute there I read your link and thought it was Rogue Racing lol. I was like lol. I will definitely bookmark your page, since I will be in the market for new gears here soon. Probably come Mid- October when I get my truck back from Baja Kits, I'll need new gears for the 35s I'll be running.

No but really, if driver perception is that it's faster or smoother or has a better power transmission than Dyno sheets are just the rally cry for haters. If the parts improve his smiles per gallon then who in the hell really cares.

 

Nope. Rally cry for truth. I love modding stuff. But I want performance mods to have measurable results. When the claims are made by a salespersons butt, I'm skeptical.

One thing my time racing on an un-sponsored or limited sponsored budget taught me was that there is improvement, and there is valuable improvement. If one cares about bang for their buck ($/HP is one measure) then facts are needed to make that evaluation.

And I/H/E mods, while traditional, don't gain as much on modern engines as they did in days of yore. Because OEs are doing a better job of wringing all they can out of the box while retaining reliable performance.

I don't care what he does, and it's nice he's happy. And the rest of the lemmings can order up.

But I do care that whatever choices I make are based on proven data.

Not all that hard to grasp really.

Could you tell me the point in regearing? And I heard it was a very strategic install so you have to get a very good mechanic? I am interested because I would like for it to have more power. Could you fill me in on this?

 

Yeah, because actual measured data has no meaning.

 

Regearing doesn't make more power. It changes how quickly the RPM rises, getting the truck into the power band of the motor sooner.

Normally it's used to compensate for the addition of considerably larger diameter wheel/tire packages, which have effectively change the final gear ratio.

If you look at the tire calculator and play with sizes it might help visualize how the changes occur.

 

LoL with my 35's I'll be doing 74mph when my Speedo is reading 65mph. Better put my lawyer on retainer again, because ticket central here I come lol

 

Pretty sure there was some Dyno results posted a few days ago with 20+hp and torque gain... ummm does that count as "measured data"?? That is at the wheels too so not insignificant.
