Well, some "bummer" news I guess for Caitlyn (not really though). Sunday night, the wife and I go to the store so she can shop for a wedding we have next weekend. On the way home, she stopped in traffic to allow a fire engine out to tend to a call (lights, sirens and horns BLARING) and she got hit from behind

The other party's insurance adjuster called me today and informed me that she admitted fault and the wife's car will be repaired for free and a free rental (hoping for a 4Runner so she can join the dark side :drevil:)

So now, I have to go through the process of handling the insurance, repairs and rental for her so she can get her car fixed and still get to work.

I wish we took Caitlyn, however. Should I have gotten hit, 0 damage considering what happened to the wife's car, I would have taken the check and put a deposit down on a HC rear bumper. :pout:

Does TW make you this selfish? The trade off, one could argue, is that it would have taught someone a lesson to pay attention while driving (pretty sure the guilty party was on their cell phone)..

    *sigh*

Looks like they are on the inside of the window and they'd be right when the window flips up while open...

An opportunity to (possibly) pick up one of these has presented itself. Anyone have any suggestion on the following choices for a winch:

    Warn VR8k with synthetic line

    OR

    Superwinch 1510200 LP10000 Winch, 10,000lbs with cable

    OR

    WARN VR10k with cable

All will be around the same price and I would swap any cable winch I get with synth line.

What would you do? What would you get? Is 8k enough?

Warn, because it's what I have and has never let me down. 10,000 because the more, the merrier.

I have a Warn XD9000i and It's been great. I'll be switching to synthetic line soon.

I keep circling back to the whole "go bumig or go home" ideology.

Also, I keep going back and forth between the WARN 8k and 10k. Yes, the 10k is cable, but it's cheaper and with the money I save over the 8k and the WARN rebate, I can get some synth line.
