Yes that's true, If your getting them from Toyota you have to buy the whole control arm. Thing is, tons of people take there's out with practically zero miles on them and they sell them very cheap. If your gonna buy the Camburg's just get a set of cheap arms with low miles on them

 

OK well the responses I got on my spring inquiry thread did not mention King as an alternative--you think they're better than the Icon springs? Which begs the question: how much difference is there between coil springs from reputable mfgs anyway?

 

If the dimensions of the springs are the same, I would venture to say that the difference is just the factory color.

 

I doubt there is a huge difference. Icon didn't make 700# spring back when I had them. Then eibach started producing them for icon. I think it comes down to what color you want.

 

Look at the history of the company and make customer service your #1 priority. They all work great. But if you were like me and bought used SAWs with the idea to rebuild them, then found out they discontinued the parts it sucks.

 

Yea if Icon offers 700# springs now I'll just go direct with their springs.

 

Anyone have the discontinued parts in stock? Lot's of places rebuild shocks

 

No this was awhile ago. I found everything but the shaft itself.best sway a way did was say that the would give me a discount on new shocks. The price they gave me was more expensive than purchasing them directly from wheelers off-road.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on dakars, debating on 10.6" travel icon shocks, or 12". What would you guys do, or have you done?

So I decided to put my lift kit on hold for now, and pulled the trigger on my dual battery install instead. All the things get delivered this week, so I should be putting it in this weekend!

After that I'm not sure if I'll go with the light bar, bumper, or CB and PA system next. The PA system will get me in trouble though, I'm sure.

 

Anyone interested in brand new BAMF Bed Corner Tie Downs? I bought them and they don't fit in my bed with the cap on...

Yea my cap bolt-down spots are in the way and it sucks.... I'm going to have to make custom ones now out of aluminum that have slot for where the bed bolts down.

 

Optima yellow top in the bed in a box, blue sea ML-ACR and fuse box under the hood. Kept the stock battery in for now, I know it's not ideal but I'll swap it out when I get the cash. I also grabbed a little inverter for tailgating. No clue where I'll hook that up yet. So far the plan is to run cables from the engine compartment to the bed through those useless side pockets.

I'll post some pics when it's done! Or y'all are welcome to come hang out and drink beers while I toil away.

 

What weight are they rated for?

 

What cap do you have? I have an old ARE, maybe mine bolts down differently?

 

I would say they are limited to what the bed rails are rated for, 200 lbs straight pull if you believe everything Toyota says about them.
