    Great post. Sounds like you definitely thought out your process before starting the project. Only addition I would add would be to paint it black first. This way it would not be as noticable through the back window.

    I agree with painting it black; it’s on my list of things to do. I disabled the latch by using a black ty-rap, it was easy and effective. My idea was to not make anything where I could not return it back to stock configuration.

    I attached the bracket to the glass with superglue's five minute epoxy. It seems to really hold, I was going to use a glass adhesive that required UV rays to cure it, but I read where people were getting good results with epoxy. I think it works excellent for the application.

    This is great! I've been wanting a power slider but didn't want to pay the cost of a CR Lawrence either. I've been thinking of using a power window motor, but the difficulties of running cables and pulleys seemed too complicated. This looks very straight forward. Can you let us know where you bought the linear actuator, and what make and model it is? I would love to do the same thing. A how to write-up would be nice.

    Sweet, I wonder how it would work on an access cab, it's a bit of a stretch to reach back while driving to open the window. How did you do the wiring? Did you power and ground it right at the battery or find another source? I really want to do this.
