Need this in my life

 

The grill has grown on me. I do like the fact it's OEM (fitment is perfect). But I'm still biased towards the BAMF. Recessed>Protruding.

 

Already hitting the bay, that price tho...

 

I dunno, the Toyota writing on the BAMF just looks wrong to me. Like it doesn't flow with the design of the truck.

Honestly at this point I feel like an SR grille with the Toyota written out would look the best:

But then again I can get the full Pro Grille (color matched surround, not just the insert) from Partznet for 420, and pick up locally.

I don't think it would look as good on a white truck, but if you had black I'd honestly consider trying an inferno surround. Might look pretty neat.

 

To the guys ordering straight from the dealer, did you need a vin number to order it?

 

No, I just gave them the part number and told them I bought a 2016 from them.

 

It is not flush but recesses in a little. You won't use the bezel or interior grille shroud.
The back plate can be changed colors if you want to swap. It weighs bout 10 pounds or so.

 

I agree. I love my BAMF. If BAMF didn't exist then I would get the pro grille.

Ordered mine. Dealer showed 16 on backorder from toyota so hopefully won't be too long.

 

Looking forward to hearing how this order goes...if everything is backordered I will just wait it out for awhile

 

Again I spoke with Jordan on the phone. He is a Toyota enthusiast just like all of us and told me that he will get us the best price on any Toyota parts. This is awesome for me, because being military and moving around makes it difficult to build a relationship with a dealership. If there is a way to get all of the grills, I am sure that Jordan will do it.

 

I agree I contacted Jordan about a replacement trim piece for my 2016 and he has been awesome. Just waiting on final price!

 

Well I reached out to him yesterday and havent gotten a reply email. probably went to junk folder

 

If you want to 100% for sure get ahold of me, by phone is the best. Between tacoma world and my work email... ive gotten over 100 different messages and emails in regards to these grilles.

So please don not think I have forgotten you, just trying to keep track of everyone! If you still need info please give me a call when you have spare time!

UPDATE: 9-21-16 9:30am

I currently have 7 grilles on order. My parts manager will continue to order ONE grille a day from now until Toyota puts a stop order on me.

They basically dont want people building "clone" trd pro trucks, and think that these grilles should be reserved to people who wreck their trucks.

Welllll.... my boss is badass and doesnt care what corporate thinks, and he said he is going to get as many grilles as possible until Toyota drops the hammer and stops our ordering.

More than likely, I will be able to get everyone a grille, Its just a matter of how long it will take because toyota is very picky with the release of their aftermarket TRD parts this early in their production.

If these were 2016 or 2015 parts they wouldnt give a rats ass how many I ordered.

With that said, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has sent me emails, private messages, phone calls, txts voicemails.... I appreciate all of your patience and understand. You guys have been super cool to deal with and have been more than welcoming to me here on the forums.

As it was stated before, I am an enthusiast, I have this job because I love Toyota and I believe in it, so thank you all for giving me the opportunity to serve you!

I will hopefully have even more information later today, at which point I will post a list of usernames in my next update of the people who asked to be put on the list for the grilles.
