Lots of different paths and cool jumps.

 

I played into the Plaguelands with Jeremy @Skootter14 last night, the only exotic I've achieved so far was the Bones of Eao which I already had...

 

There is. It's much like the GH mission just to show off the gun. The ending is... well... you'll just have to see lol.

 

The Khvostov in crucible melts people with the high rate of fire. In smaller maps it's king right now.

 

The climb to 385 is real lol

 

I need that or an infused Hard Light.

 

Update articles speaks to the slow down after 350 and you should get higher gear half the time. Its plausible that they will need to patch that.
It still appeara that exotic farming is the way to go since they will drop up to 385.

 

Hard Light is okay but you will get destroyed in crucible with it. The Khvostov (like The Doctrine of Passing) will melt you in a close to mid range battle. The nice thing about the Khvostov is that you can change the fire rate to suit the map.

It does. Running Crucible, PoE, and Heroic Strikes will net you blues that will level you higher. Just hit 355

 

so far, the ROI questline is complete. Looking forward to tryin out the wolf sword or whatever it is called. And out of all the quest lines, I picked up 3 exotic at most. Did get some really good legendary though.

So day two and my thoughts so far...

1. I really like this expansion. TTK was a great expansion and the April update corrected a lot of things that were missing from TTK (like infusing one to one). But this expansion I've barely scratched the surface of and I personally love how big it is.

2. RL's ARE BACK!!!!!! In a big way Jesus Christ... every time you start a fight you better have a RL ready to blow some shit up lol.

3. The Strikes are no longer a cakewalk. Each strike we do (granted we are a bit underleveled at an average of 350 between 3 of us) is damn near like a NF especially with the modifiers they have on this week. But, that has been a very good way to get above average gear (along with PoE which is a cakewalk now).

4. Archons Forge is a blast and a lot of good drops out of it.

5. The Plaguelands. Just exploring this huge space is a lot of fun and I love the mixture of outside open spaces to damn near claustrophobic spaces to fight in.

6. Unlimited sprint. I "might" take it off but I doubt it.

7. Crucible is uprooted at the moment. There really is no meta that the game has settled into like before the expansion. So many different types of weapons being used and It's a lot of fun. It "seems" those with the Khvostov are going to use it because it really is OP. I see a nerf coming pretty soon due to those that don't use it or are too lazy to get it. But I'm going to melt faces until they do. Being able to make it a Doctrine of Passing for small maps to a scout rifle for larger maps is pretty awesome.

8. Customization. I love that I have a all black Khvostov. Now I want a all black Mida. My armor and weapon match like they were made for each other. Vain I know but I've played this character for over 2 years now and I like it.

What I don't like.

1. The GODDAMN mountain at the Iron Temple. Fucking hell it's a bitch to get to the top.

2. You have to go to the Tower to get your actual Cryptarch packages instead of being able to get them at the Iron Temple. WTF? I understand faction items but there is a Cryptarch there in the Temple?

3. I'm sure I'll find something later....

All in all I'm having a blast and we haven't even touched the raid yet. Trials doesn't start until the end of the month and who knows when IB will start and I've only played one character so far. Granted my other characters will be 385 once I actually start the storyline with them due to me stockpiling all my armor and weapons in my vault. But it's going to take a little longer to get to 385 than I anticipated. That's fine by me. We had a raid scheduled for Friday morning but honestly I don't see that happening.

 

I have two full days ahead of me, I won't get to really crank out some forward motion until Friday. I am at least at 327 which was better than the 315 I was yesterday morning.

 

Expect an abrupt stop at 350. Getting to 350 was pretty easy but after that it bottlenecks to maybe a level or two per day. I'm off until Monday so I've been putting in full days (granted a lot of just fucking around) but I'm only 355. I could be 385 by Friday if I really tried but I don't think we will have 6 of us that are 385 for the raid so what's the use? I'm just going to enjoy the ride.

 

I took 2 shifts off to play. I know... Mid 40's and I take a week off work for a video game. But you know what? I work hard for my time off and if this is how I want to spend it then that's what I'm going to do
