My dealer says they WILL remove the suspension mods (air bags in my case) to install the new springs but will NOT put back any modified suspension parts. It will be reverted to stock. I will need to put them back on.

    I got the same treatment.

My dealer boxed up my old leafs that included my AAL and left it in my bed.

I had the leaf springs recall installed this past weekend and now the Bed of my truck seems to be uneven. One side is higher than the other you can physical see it from the rear. I measured it after I got home and sure enough one side is 1.5 inches higher. I drove it over the weekend and it still the same no change. Does anybody know if that's adjustable and something that the Dealer needs to correct? Since it's their screw up.

After 23 months... Mine are done. I'm not a car guy but they are definitely firmer and may sit up a little higher but with my shell it's not much of a difference. Hard to complain about something free on an almost 11 year old truck. Took 2 months to get the springs in. Was told it would take 2 hours and it took 3.5. Then I had to wait 25 minutes for the idiots to find my keys. They pulled the truck around and I'm guessing who ever pulled it around went on break off site with my keys.

So this dealership actually called my wife last week and said that my springs are in. . . . WTF And looking underneath that note, it looks like some stuff was ordered that I didn't realize when I looked at it originally.

Go up to the dealer to talk to them and turns out they ordered the regular set of springs not the ones you get if you had the TSB. So here I wait again on another back ordered set of springs.

And I did go to another dealership, so now I have leafs on order with them also. (likely the wrong ones)

That's old..there have been several newer versions released.

If I had it to do again, I would have skipped this recall and just kept the TSB packs I had. The new springs are garbage! They settled more than two inches in a weekend of the truck sitting in my garagears immediately after install....

I got a recall notice but i ended up upgrading my suspension with complete OME kit with dakar rear leaf, since stock 3 leaf kept bottoming out.
I submitted a re imbursement form , and finally toyota approved and re imbursed me for my new dakar leaf springs.

I'm scheduled to bring my vehicle in next week to have a service done and to have the leaf recall done. They indicated to me on the phone that the springs and shackles would be replaced (Canadian recall - not sure if this is different from the American one?). Is there anything else that it would be beneficial to have done while the vehicle is in for this work(s)? Anything while it's up on the hoist that would line up with the work required? Just figured I'd check and ask!

    Thanks in advance!

Oh wow - I'm scheduled to get the recall done next week but I was planning on putting some kind of lift in after the fact anyway. Maybe this is the better route to take and I should just forgo the recall work?!?

Took our 2011 DC in to have the leaf pack replaced and they wouldn't do it without removing the lift. And they won't just give us the leafs to allow me or a shop to swap it.

Also, if they removed the lift (at a cost to us), the wheels won't fit anymore in the front. If they only removed the spacer in the back (front high, rear low) temporarily, then they said the drive shaft would be at an angle, which adds risk to damaging the diff. So they wouldn't do that either.

So I'm at a loss. I'm considering just buying a 3rd party leaf pack and then having a shop do the swap for me. Any advice? Should I just buy some OMEs? I'm in SoCal (Anaheim) in case there's someone local that can help me.

That document specifies the incorrect(?) 37ft lbs for Ubolts.

It also calls for an alignment.
