Without the overload retained it's a 10% decrease in strength and load capacity. Some OEM leaf packs need modification, some don't.

Man I occasionally maybe more than occasionally here a clunk while turning down a decline (lots of gas stations and such have inclined entrances for some reason). Never crossed my mind it may be the sway bar. Would it be okay taking it out on a full stock TRD sport? And would that be a thing they'd fail you for on inspection regardless that I could just put it on before the inspection hah

I know there is more body roll after removing it but everyone seems to think the truck will roll straight into a ditch every turn. I've driven a first generation lifted 6 in without a sway bar and had no problems.
Unless you plan on driving like a maniac and taking 90 degree turns at 40 mph then I think it'll be ok.
I do understand the whole swerving to avoid an accident can be more dangerous without the sway bar but how many times do you have to swerve on a daily basis?

If your truck is stock that is not what is making the clunk.

Does the rear dome flicker during what would be the "dimming" part of an incandescent stock bulb?

I think that there is a quick disconnect option. Started looking it myself since the wifey drives it occasionally with my 1.5 year old. Not looking to get the we rolled the truck call.

I noticed no significant increase in body roll without the sway bar.

Even less when I put stiff coils.

    And even less with 315s.

I hear ya man. I'm running 295. With 650# coils still won't do it until I have a DD.

I would not recommend it on a stock truck. You will gain articulation but alot more body roll. Without stiffer springs makes the body roll even worse. Maybe wait till you get heavier spring and then give it a shot.
I have a hard time letting my girlfriend drive my truck since the sway bar delete. I always remind her to take turns slowly haha. It's not that bad though. I sure as hell wouldn't drive it on the highway with a baby. Just for peice of mind. And if someone does find quick disconnected let me know please . Only seem some fabbed for a FJ on one of the forums

Lol yeah man. Kids in a truck that has more POTENTIAL for a roll over would not be my cup of tea, but to each his own. I personally don't have a sway bar but also don't have kids.
