I am looking to replace my factory UCA. I am down to 2 choices, Total Chaos or Camburg. Someone with some experience with these two brands give me some pointers. I hardly ever go off road maybe some sand once a blue moon. My truck mostly ponds pavement and hauls coolers of beer.

Reason for replacement? Lifted? Bad alignment? Are you sure you want the maintenance of a uniball?

I think these are both nearly the same in terms of design. There are even some cheap uni-ball UCAs on eBay that look like TC's. I have a pair of TC UCAs and have no complaints. I also haven't gotten them really off road yet as they came in after my last trip.

This is a Ford vs Chevy type of discussion. At the end of the day we both make great products and you wont be disappointed be either. Their are differences that do count for added benefits. Of course I would recommend ours and can explain why we build the arms the way we do ... and do that without discrediting what TC does.

Feel free to give us a call at the shop, send us an email and check out our website for more info.

SPC Light Racing- less maintenance than uniball control arms.

A heck of a lot cheaper than Total Chaos and Camburg, good for the seldom wheeler and you'll love how much adjustment they have.

I've had both and no problems with either, the only reason I went with tc this time around was that I wanted to try something a bit different. I don't think that you can go wrong with either choice really.

Light Racing’s arms have +1° of caster built into them. the arm will get you 0° to +4° of caster and ±2° of camber. What are the specs for yours for correcting the geometry fubar that goes with lifts? Interested in your ball joint UCAs

I have camburg uni-ball upper arms. Have had them for about 4 years now with the sway away CO's.

I take them off-roading about once to twice a month and regular driving.

Awesome product and the only thing I have to do is lube them with some dry lube ever once and a while. (Every 3-4 weeks or so) not terrible at all, I just keep a small bottle and a rag in the center con for on the go.

The Camburg ball joint UCAs are what I am looking at. Uniball is too much maintenance for me.

    How so?

Really no maintenance I do other than dry lube.

Is there something else I should be doing??

Doing any type of lubing every 3 to 4 weeks is excessive for me. I want to drive my truck, not lube it. I dont do the things that benefit from a uniball so why have that level of maintenance? If I did hard core shit then I'd go uniball.

    Gotcha...
    Was just wondering... :anonymous:

I'm a real DIYer so I really don't even pay attention to it.

Ball joint seems like the right choice. :hattip:

I do a lot more off-roading that you do, seems like, so I have benefit.

I have the newer Camburg balljoint UCA's with the moog balljoints. Very satisfied so far.
