Modded it so much it turned into a 4Runner
PlastiDipped the grille and color matched the emblem. I couldn't stand the chrome anymore. Looked like the truck had braces.

When you took this off, was there easy access to the plastic dashboard cover? I'm thinking about removing it completely.

Nice job! Once you get it installed you won't notice any of the slight underlaps. I tried to minimize them but we are talking fractions if millimeters and I think I hit the limit of what my plotter/cutter can do with these very small decals.

I'm sure your 4wd was working before he started working on it otherwise those lights would've come on beforehand. He probably forgot To reconnect something.

I think the lifht only comes on when he tries to engage the 4 wheel drive. I never tried it before so don't know if it would have came on for me also. That's why it is frustrating! I wish I could tell him I used it and it was fine, but I hadn't. Figures, nothing has went smoothly with this build except the Bushwacker flares!

My employer is currently building a '16 TRD Sport 4x4 for our booth at this year's SEMA Show which we will be driving from NC to Las Vegas and back. Our first two additions include MagnaFlow's 19291 cat-back exhaust and Snugtop's XTR Gen 2 truck shell. We'll be exhibiting at Overland Expo East in a few weeks and have a lot of work to get done before then including lift, tires, bumpers, winch and more.

Hey Vero, thanks for that, but I am not on Facebook and don't really know how to get on. Lol. Great looking truck! I am down near the Racine area.

I had one on my black '08 TRD Sport. I really liked it. I got a TRD red-lettered one, but the red lettering wore off after a year or so.

If there is a sensor or wire (ie: speed sensor) that communicates with your 4WD ECU and it is not operating as intended, the ECU will not let you engage 4WD hence the flashing light when you try to engage it. I am not saying it is the speed sensor but have him recheck everything he did before he takes it to the dealer. Chances are he either forgot to the reconnect a connector or accidentally pulled a wire from a connector.

Thanks, I will tell him. There is a Hypertech speed calibrator in there that he had to reset and he actually said it didn't drive right and he reset it again and had to put the tire size back in which he only put the new gear size the first time, after that he said it was fine. He thought it was odd that he had to reenter the tire size when it had already been entered from before. Maybe it has something to do with that speed calibrator.
