Same rattling noise as mine. My daughter pointed at the speaker grille on the passenger side. It is annoying.

I've got the same thing. Does everyone experiencing this problem have the JBL system? I've grown to ignore it. Every great truck has its quirks.

I hate rattles, my 2010 Taco had one that I could never get fixed. It was coming from a wire harness behind the dash

OP, mine has same issue. The gap tolerance is bad and the A pillar trim panel is rubbing on the speaker cover. So much in fact, white plastic dust is forming. LOL.
I'm at 1800 miles and it's worn a nice little groove from it rubbing!

I have adhesive backed felt for stuff like this. This was poor fit and finish on Toyota's interior engineers!
Ditch the toothpicks man. The felt is thin and adhesive backed. Sometimes you will find it attached in thin strips on panel pieces if you pull stuff apart.

I have the same rattle and I have an SR. Tried a business card or two in between the speaker and a pillar, but still have the noise. Have to go hunting.

My 2016 TRD sport with 1200 miles is starting to get rattles in the dash and the center console near the cup holders. When I first picked it up brand new with 80 miles on it i was so amazed how quiet it was with no rattles regardless of harshness in the road. Now it gets worst so fast. The trucks basically still brand new! Anyone know if this is normal or is it just a chance of luck that some new tacos are perfect and others have more problems. Shouldn't they be assembled exactly the same at the factory. Any information or feedbacks

Mine started rattling at that point too.

Dash rattle by speaker - put foam in between dash and A pillar (fixed).
Front light console on roof - opened up and put foam where metal frame was making contact (fixed)
Driver door panel when playing music - haven't attempted a fix yet.
Wiring harness under glovebox - will attempt foam fix this weekend.

ME! In the driver side door and it DRIVES ME CRAZY! It's a constant click sound. I can put pressure on the door and it goes away until I let off. I'm taking it in for its first oil change in a couple days and I am going to have them take the whole door panel off and make sure it's put together good and reinstall it

Yuuuup, I had this exact noise as well. I didn't want to mess with the dash myself because I've broken tabs and shit too when trying to fix stuff like that so I had Toyota fix it for me. Funny that there are so many with this same noise!

@tincup33 what did your dealer do to fix it? I took mine in today but they said that they could not recreate the noise. I then went on a drive with a tech - the rattle randomly was gone. I think they might have done some banging around and popped something into place.

I have this noise. I'll check the pillar to speaker gap. Mine sounds louder with the Glove box open

I was told that the tech popped the speaker cover off and lined some things with felt.

@NolanDub i did the same thing when I took it to the dealer, the tech went for a test drive we must of hit all the pot holes in town and it was silent. (Go figure) but there dude was real cool and said he's just gonna order me new A frame trim and center console and possibly line it with foam or felt tape.

The right side of the silverish trim around my radio rattles, if I put my hand on it the rattle goes away. Had the same exact rattle on my 11 Avalon too, just went away after awhile

Mine does the same thing, does anyone else have problems with the head unit flickering when you are on Bluetooth?
