That's why I didn't want to change anything on the truck before the problem was resolved. They will look for any excuse to write you off. If that's all you changed put in the old tires and take it back. That's if you still have them

It's not normal. I have the paper work and maybe the part number for the leafs. I'll look at it when I get off work and post it up. They also said my drum brakes were out of spec. So they put new ones I lol

Ya this has been around for years on Tacos and is such an easy fix. Not sure why they don't resolve it.

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
I don't feel like screwing with the dealer. The leaf packs are shit anyway. Mine are already getting flatter and squeaking like crazy. I've got dakars aitting in my garage but it will be a month or two before my coilovers w/ 700lb springs get to me.

My 15-25 MPH driveline vibe/coming to a stop shudder/rumble strip feeling or whatever one wants to call it completely goes away with a few bags(4) of mulch in the bed. So with that said, they're staying back there until Toyota fixes it. I absolutely hate going to the dealerships, so I'll have them take a looksie when I bring her in for the 10k service. I'm not a truck grease monkey tech, but I did work on helos for 25 years in the Navy(H53's) and am well versed in troubleshooting vibrations and drive shaft angles/alignments. So with that said, I'm leaning towards a leaf/driveshaft angle issue.....on my truck anyways. Maybe some of you guys may want to throw some weight back in the bed to troubleshoot your issues too?

Can you fucking read and comprehend?! Where in my original post above does it say that this is a fix?! Or that it would "fix" all other trucks. Oh, and the bags of mulch are still back there. Took them out the other day and had a friend of mine drive around with me. Vibe there. Put them back in, vibe gone. That would be called troubleshooting either to help someone else with these problems and to give my dealership a bit of info when I bring it in to them to get the ball rolling on this and a possible fix. This is just masking the problem...I realize that. But thanks for your typical message board gutter snipe response.

I also took the mulch out a few weekends ago and put in coolers and deer gear for a trip up to NY, and reversed it all when I came back. Whew, that was hard...but I'll survive. Gonna do it again tonight for another trip up north. Hopefully I can get through it, but thanks for the concern on my well being......

This is why I stopped doing anything to this truck. I wanted to install popnlock tailgate lock, but I know theyd blame any issue on that.

As far as he goes, make them change tires/wheels and prove that's the problem. That's their fucking job. "It's your tires"
How do you know? Did you put on other tires?
    "Uhh...no"
"Maybe you should do that to confirm your diagnosis"

When they come back and sheepishly admit it's still there then you'll get it fixed.

Hadn't even seen this thread until today, but man I've been having the same rumble strip feeling while braking. I plan to have the dealer look at it in 3k at my 10k service, aka I plan to hear that it is normal, just like my vibrating hood.

Has anyone with these issues decided to get together and possibly have these issues documented and maybe reach out to legal counsel everyone can't be wrong on this?

I am having the washboard vibration when slowing down between 30 and 15mph and noticed my right rear wheel is 3/4“ further away from the frame of the truck than the left. Also my left rear wheel is toed in 0.28 degrees and the right rear toed out -0.10 degrees. This is on a 2017 4x2 TRD Sport with about 700 miles on the clock.

Have you tried removing and reseating the wheels on the hubs? that much toe difference seems odd given I don't believe there is any adjustment for the rear.

Yep. I have had the wheels off a couple times to inspect everything and retorqued evenly. Even loosened everything in the back and retorqued with no change.

Truck is at the dealer now, we'll see what they come up with.

Update from the Dealer, my truck was taken across the street to their body shop to have the frame measured per Toyota in California. Not sure how to feel at this point...

Will do. I would love to see if anyone else with the washboard vibration when slowing has a similar issue with the rear axle favoring one side.

I do not, but my vibration is fixed. It's all about the driveline angle.
