If it broke I blame my dad. It was always a bit touchy and he went to get in to pump the brakes and it wouldn't open. So of course pull harder is his reaction...

That's a bummer, Gage. I hope he gets it fixed once and for all this time. Advance Adapters makes a bellhousing for the V6 truck transmissions to go to an LS engine, not sure about the 4cyl, he could've done that for less money than he's got into it now. How many times has he had the engine out now? Like 3?

I almost sent a guy your way a few weeks back about your LC. I think he didn't have the budget he thought he had, but if he comes back, I'll get ahold of you.

 

I'd be interested in occasional comments and a review by you about those S/T Maxx tires on a Tacoma as you put miles on them if you're up for it. I've sold quite a few sets of those to fullsize truck guys over the years and got mixed reviews. I've also had one set on my 1 ton and wasn't crazy about them for my needs. I'm really interested to see how they perform in the "pizza cutter" size as it still one of the affordable tires in those sizes. I love 255 tires, and wish more manufacturers would produce them, particularly in 8 ply D range, as it makes more sense to me for these lighter Toyotas.

 

The Coopers are still available in S/T & S/T Maxx. Not sure who told you that but I just checked and there are plenty of them out there in 16". Any reputable tire dealer should be able to get these. There are only about 6 distributors for the state of Wyoming and I can pull from the same distributors that they can.

If any of you guys have tire questions, feel free to ask. I can look nation wide through the major distributors inventories to find what you're looking for also. These never show up on the web, as they are set up for wholesale dealers only. I can also look up dealers to see who else besides me (Hometown Garage) can get them. I can also get (limited) aftermarket wheels too, so I can always check for them also.

 

I price all my tires from wingfoot tire in greeley. Best prices by far. Then i go to discount tire in cheyenne and make them match their price. Can you beat their price on 315/70/17 duratrac?

Well shit. Prices went up. I got mine for 250. Now they are 306.. discount tire is 296

 

I'm fairly certain the 'coppers' Monte was referring to were the SCS brand Ray10 Copper finish wheels in the 16" size. They are only available as 17s now.

 

Interesting. I was hard pressed to find a bad review on them. I know they last long and traction is great so that's all I wanted.
