There are two threaded holes in the drum cover that you can put a long bolt through to help separate them as well. Also remember to disengage your parking brake.

 

It is also a good idea to back off in the self adjusters. Brings the shoes in toward the axle so the drum won't interfere with them. Especially important on excessively worn drums.

 

This and this. Can back off the self adjuster from a window on the back side of the backing plate.

 

@stairgod my rear brake lines are 23" and I bent the brackets top and bottom to gain a little more

 

Where would you guys recommend to get a bilstein 5100 lift installed in the area? Preferably central nj

That bump stop extension was actually holding things up there. Those Superbumps don't compress as easily as I thought they would.

 

I was gonna say, def looks like you are losing quite a bit of uptravel. Tires aren't even close to stuffing. Assuming you had like an inch or two of shock travel still?

 

Closer to 2" actually. Live and learn, righ?

 

Mod day with other members... Get the coils installed on the shocks & it's an easy driveway install.

Should be better now with the spacers removed. Although, you do sacrifice some stuff to get the droop with the longer shock.

They don't match, but I'll manage.
