How can i turn up the volume of my phone calls through my bluetooth on my factory installed JBL stereo? I can barely hear people when they are talking.

Obviously, I've tried turning up the volume knob to no effect. Also..rings coming in are RIDICULOUSLY loud. Any available change for that as well?

Steering column controls. To change the ring volume you must adjust it while it is ringing. I remember almost jumping out of my seat when it rang when I first got my truck.

    Hey thanks,
I was just looking for information on IPOD adapters and came across your post. I too have had the crap scared out of me when the phone went off. Now I know how to adjust it. Although I would have eventually consulted the manual now I don't have to. Ken:D

Good info, I thought I just had to nearly wreck when the phone rang! I would roll down my windows when I was expecting a call!

    lol
You made my day. I sit here laughing my butt off. Ya, I wondered why sometimes my phone was louder than others. Tried turning it down when I got in the truck but that didn't work.
You can teach an old dog new tricks. In my case it was the shock collar...

So how to you adjust it ? I know you can with the steering wheel AFTER the first ring but can you adjust it so that always rings a certain way? After all its the first ring that nearly makes you run off the road.

I smell a recall for phone ringing too loud and causing wrecks, lawyers are circling.

The Bluetooth audio only seems to be coming through the front left speaker. Is everyone else's system the same?

Thank you! That damn 'pre-ring' heart attack alert thing was going to kill me. I figured out how to adjust volume for a call in progress, but it never clicked to try the same thing for the damn ringer. Now I love everything about my new taco :)

I'm confused. I've read multiple posts but still can't decipher if there is a way to adjust the ring volume "before" the first ring? Like a permanent setting?

It's the first, unexpected, ring that scares the begeebus out of me each time. I know how to turn it down afterwards. ??:annoyed:

Solved. (again) So I understand now that when an incoming call comes in, then use the steering wheel controls to set the volume. The part I didn't understand is that it "WILL KEEP THE SETTINGS" going forward!! Woot!!

I used the wife's phone to call once, set the volume via the steering wheel volume control, then answer. Hung up, shut off the truck just to be sure. Went out the next morning fired it up and called again from her phone. And voila, incoming ring at a much more manageable level. Bluetooth bliss.
