Spark plug quality makes all the difference. I put Bosch iridium's in mine and it runs pretty smooth

If Toyota "published" something then it wouldnt be illegal, bring that "publishing" something is releasing it to the public. Simce theyre not selling the info, it's legal to download it for free. Doesnt mean it's easy to find, though

So if y'all remember I mentioned wanting to fabricate stuff and I was thinking of making custom shifter things, like the plastic deal around the shifter with the cup holders? I was considering re making it from metal and putting extra storage there instead of cup holders... would anyone be interested? I don't have a manual or a 4x4 to make them for so this would only work on 2wd autos, but if it sounds like something you'd want then I can attempt to make them on other trucks :D just an idea, but hey it could be terrible

you'll need WAY bigger injectors e85 runs like 40% more fuel and obviously they need to be e85 compatible and a compatible pump as well. at urd a deatchwerks (or however you spell that) 225 lph was only $5 more than the warblo (again however that is spelled) and it is e85 ready so I went ahead and got that just incase e85 gets popular enough around here to tune for that.

Well I got 650's so I think I'm ok there. I've never heard of any first hand experience with ethanol being corrosive, the only negative things I've read are from people who are blatantly against it on a spiritual level and whom have never actually used it. Again, I've never read a single thing saying it is more corrosive than gas and has led to any premature failures from anyone whom has run it for extended time.

I can get it here for $1.70/gal compared to $2.50 for 91 so even with the additional 40% volume required I'm still spending less (~$2.40/volume to produce equal power as a gallon of 91).

The fic6 has dual map mode which can be switched on the fly so I might have to look into this more. Has anyone heard or seen any ethanol related failures, particularly when used on a stock, or non ethanol specific, fuel system?

I run e85 on my TRD supercharged 2001 with 650cc and AEM FIC, I use the aux switch wire on the FIC to switch between maps. E85 is amazing, very very forgiving and ping resistant.

question on a similar note; would there be any benefit (especially at lower boost situations like this) to running e85 along side a meth/water setup? from what I understand they both kinda do the same thing, higher octane, lower temps etc

IMO way overkill, IMO the boost and power demands to require a combo would be far over what the engine can handle. E85 has been bullet proof for me, water/method has been really tricky with nozzle size, pwm to pump, keeping the tank full etc.

E85 is very tempting for the price compared to premium. Doesn't it have a smaller af ratio though? So it takes more fuel? If so does it justify the lower cost?

Roughly 40% more fuel but u get like 105 octane. So even if ur price per mile is about the same u can get better performance for e85 but i think it is a lil cheaper per mile in most cases
