I should've added pregnant wife and 2 kiddos, I wouldn't want to leave em either.
I'll make rounds locally, if I can't get a deal here, I won't buy till it gets closer to Christmas

Going from 2 to 3 is easier than 1 to 2. My kids are all about a year apart. I've spent so much money on diapers and formula the past few years. Now that I'm not, I can afford my Tacoma that I bought in March.

Glad to hear that, 1 to 2 wasn't too bad, my kids are easy going(as much as a 2.5 and 11 month old can be lol)
I hear ya, diapers and formulas never go out of style in my house. Yea when Wifey told me and after my jaw rectracted, I knew my m3 had to go, and get something that I can actually use.
Anyway with that said, can't wait to get into a Tacoma, this will be my first brand new car

I recommend emailing Ken Thompson at Doxon in Auburn. He does their internet sales. I contacted 12 dealers between Olympia and Bellingham. He was by far the best to work with and the best price. PM me if you want his contact information. I haven't taken delivery yet, but I did just put down a deposit today with him.

Thanks for the advice and feedback viking15, bcrobbin, and others!

I just put down a deposit and was able to get $27xx under MSRP. Out of the 12 dealers I contacted the next closest was $19xx under.

I accepted an offer of $36,547, almost $2300 off MSRP, for a 2017 TRD OR DCSB 4X4 AT with the following options: Prem/Tech (non JBL), Towing and Carpet Floor Mats. They had invoice at $36,547 which includes a $622 TDA fee. MSRP was $38,883. OTD at the AZ dealership is going to be ~$39,950 which includes ~$2900 in tax, $399 doc fee and $45 for a temporary plate. When I register the truck in NV, it'll be another ~$700 for NV plates.

I tried to push for $500 more off but they wouldn't budge on removing/reducing the TDA fee. They kept insisting it was part of the invoice. They "removed" the tint fee though. But I feel like it was a bogus fee that they'll gladly remove to give the customer the illusion that they're taking an additional $300 off.

Overall, I'm happy with the deal. Best deal I could get. I could only get $750 off MSRP from my local dealerships here in Vegas.

Finally got a build date for my taco. Ordered it on 8/15/16 and it will be built on 10/9/16, so I should have it by the end of October. It is an Inferno 2017 TRD OR DCSB 4x4 AT with Premium and Tech w/ JBL and towing. MSRP is $39,330. I got it for $37,132 + $2,413 tax (6.5%) + $250 doc fee + $38 title = $39,833 OTD. Plus, I had them agree to put on my TRD Pro rims and Wildpeaks and do an alignment if necessary (which likely will be since I am going to put a lift on it before I take it in to have tires put on). I am pretty satisfied with the deal.

That is a pretty good deal. I brought the same configuration but got the LB, 5" tube steps, all weather floor mats for 40,200 OTD.

Yeah, I was kind of surprised because I was dreading having to try to haggle for a decent deal because I am not really that good at it. Another member here went to the same place (Cain Toyota in Canton, Ohio) for his 2016 and said they would not work with him at all. He ended up going to a dealer in Columbus so I figured I was in for some tough negotiations. But, the saleswoman I am working with just gave me that number right away and said that was as low as she could go. I already had in mind that the lowest I would get them down to was half-way between MSRP and invoice so I was pleasantly surprised not to have to fight for the deal, which I think might be below invoice or right about invoice. I have worked with her before so I felt she was being honest about it being as low as she could go but I also figured I could get her to throw in putting the wheels on and getting the alignment done.

ETA: I checked what invoice would be and if I am right it would have been $32,153 for the truck, $2,702 P&T w/ jbl, $579 towing pkg, $940 delivery, $760 TDA (advertising fee) = $37,134

You got the deal you should have gotten. Don't ever pay a dollar above what the dealer shows you is their invoice. They still make plenty of money on holdback, so a smart dealer will do that deal no problem just to get the vehicle into pma.

I'm familiar with that dealership, I often go there to get an oil service kit for my wives rx350, It's the closest too.
Given the info you provided I'll drop by there and have a talk, if I can't work it out, I'll contact Ken directly through email.
    Thanks for the heads up

Trying to find a TRDOR with an MT with tow package and premium & tech. MSRP 36,995. Got an offer for 35,230 (plus tax).
Haven't been able to find anything better. Any words of wisdom?

Email a dozen or more dealers requesting best-price out-the-door quote as has been discussed in a couple threads.

This assumes you're able to wait for an order to come in. If you need to buy something on the lot right now you lose much of your leverage.

Dude, again your deal makes zero sense and sounds like bullshit. Even more so because it looks like you forgot what you paid for your truck. I would still be intrigued to see your buyers order.

Yeah that's where I started. Contacted ~25 dealers a month ago. This is the farthest I've gotten with any of them. Even asked my local dealers to beat the offer. Nothing.
