    eventually yes, i did rebuild my shocks. i rebuild them as necessary. twice in 92k miles

    So... What's the best way to remove white lithium grease from leaf springs? It's so annoying that I'm about to drive this fucker off a cliff.

    you can try to wipe it off with a paper towel, then go back with goof off and get the rest of the residue..... hopefully.

    Try the high pressure at the car wash? That usually removes all my grease, cheap bedliner, some paint.... unwanted or not.
    If it's really gummy, try a biodegradable degreaser. If you really want it off, like right now, spray it with carb/brake cleaner.
