Tacoma hood scoop

New to forum. Looking at new Taco Sport, like everything except hood scoop. Does anyone know if entire hood can be replaced with standard hood without scoop? Are the hoods all the same size, configuration,etc? I would rather not get off-road edition, with the stiffer suspension and off-road tires, and don't care for the SR5 interior and wheels. Any thoughts/comments appreciated.

 

if you get a sport people will trade you hoods and like 100 bucks to get the scoop. everybody wants one

 

Get the sport. Then come on here and post in the sale section that you want to trade for a non scooped hood and people will be all over it.

 

Hoods can be swapped. People WILL want your hood, so be ready.

Just as a question, where are you located and what color will the hood be?

 

also the offroad suspension should actually be softer then the sport suspension, and the main purpose for the offroad package is the electronic locker

Located in New Orleans, and looking at Pyrite or Mag Grey. I thought the off-road suspension would be stiffer or less forgiving with routine street/city driving - is this wrong??

 

Theres a guy here in NC that has mag grey without a scoop, and he really wants one. Im sure he'd give you $100-200 for it and a swap... he has a 2010.

I don't know that I think the OR suspension is softer...I didn't really notice much difference.
The OR coils are progressive- So as you use the truck when you are OR it'll ride a bit stiffer in some situations- but that's what you would want.

And yup..You'll make a little money trading with someone. Where in NOLA are you??

 

I've got a stock BSP hood with no hood scoop available for sale...if your interested...

and yes it can be swapped out with no problems...the hood scoop is non functional...only there for aesthetics anyways...

 

I will be more than happy to make the trip to New Orleans and switch hoods with you!

 

OffRoad and Sport interiors are the same.
