Anyone know if the leaf pack and front coils off my 16 will work and be an upgrade to my 2011?

For any of you looking to lift the back, 1.5" is MAX on stock length shocks. Not even sure i'd go over 1" I'm at 2.5" in the back and I only have about 1.5" of down travel if that. I wasn't paying attention when I put the lift in, explains why the back rides like a tank. I went to remove my Hitachi shocks which i believe are now destroyed to install some factory Bilstein TRDOR shocks and was like hmmmmmm this isn't good!

Regear isn't done yet. Just finished the rear end of day. Should be done tomorrow. He said the factory shim was like 78,000th and only needed 16,000th with new set, or vice versa. That's why he likes to use Yukon, but they don't have gears yet, so these are Nitro. In the end it won't matter, but more goofing around for fitment I guess.

Are you getting the uniball uca's buddy of mine told me I would definitely want the Total Chaos uca's? Also PureTacoma.com has it in stock same price.

Im SUPER new to this lift stuff...I would like to do it right and keep it under 3"..2" sounds good to me and I will have to pay someone for labor.

Uhm...do you kiss your warranty goodbye when you throw on a lift?

I am not doing UCA's to start. I'm only going up 1.5" in the front so I'm hoping it doesn't effect it to much.

There's many ways to lift your truck. I'd suggest reading this entire thread. It took me days to read every post but by reading everything you can come to somewhat of a conclusion as to what you specifically are looking for. I even called and talked to vendors headstrong and toytech to get their opinions, and my Toyota dealer as well. I'd rather not spend close to $2000 but for my application and doing it one time I wanted to get it right the first time.

So i have 5100s sitting in my garage right now. I have a set of icon add a leafs on the way with ome 887 springs. I keep hearing conflicting accounts of 885s vs 887s. Would like to level out the truck as well as add ~1.5 inches around. No bumpers yet or anything crazy. Im just slightly afraid that if i put the 887s in it will be too high

887 on 5100's set to 0 should give you about 2"

You won't be disappointed I have the same lift and it rides so much better. You don't need the uca's. I got 6k on the new suspension with no issues.

Good to know, thanks. Do you have any pics? One other member had this setup somewhere in this thread as well and his truck looked great.
