If you push the turn signal lever only partially it will blink 3 times and stop, and can be adjusted up as high as 7.

No I bought a veepeak with wifi. Plugs into odb port allows you to make several changes to truck without taking it to dealer

For Tacoma and the Veepeak you need to get the Veepeak with wifi. You can change some of the following, doing this for memory
Seat belt buzzer off or on
Turn signal from 3-7 (slight lever press)
Daytime running lights off or on
Engine default codes ( if you have any)
There is a lot more. You can go to Amazon type in Veepeak to read reviews. I used it on my 2016 SR5 and now my 2017 TRD Sport without ANY problems.

And that's all folks. The N-fabs were the last piece of the puzzle for my 4x4 highway queen. Next step will be a set of AT's in about 20k more miles.

All in all what I added:

    LEDs inside and license plate
    Weather tech's all around
1" front spacer (1/8"-1/4" rake now)
    OEM mud guards
    Door seal protectors
OEM tri-fold tonneau purchased from another user here
    Tailgate seal
    Removed air dam
    3" main tube N-fabs

8 weeks of ownership tomorrow and she's got 8,6XX miles. Got back from a 2,500 mile trip (Louisiana to Breckenridge Co. and back) last night about 11pm and she did great. For a little positivity around here, I love this truck and it is a very quality machine.

My son is having electrical problems with his 2016 since installation of this same OEM system specifically designed for the 2016 Tacoma. The rear speakers were very soft when first installed, unless it was equalized to put all the power to the rear. So OEM sent him a new amp and it was reinstalled. It solved the rear power problem but now he's going back and forth between Toyota and the aftermarket stereo installer as to what is causing the inside lights to blow out. The first time it happened was after the OEM system was installed with the old amp. Now it is still blowing the inside light fuse instantly, and Toyota insists the fuse is blowing because there is an open circuit somewhere from the aftermarket wiring of the stereo. They won't do any warranty work on the electrical unless all that wiring is removed. The installer says all the wiring is done correctly. In the meantime the system keeps blowing fuse after fuse even when the radio/stereo power is disconnected at the battery. Anyone else have lighting fuses blowing after changing the factory stereo? He is about to have the whole thing pulled out and sent back to OEM and all the original factory junk put back in the truck. I feel awful because it was my fault he changed the system in the first place. We bought the OEM for a birthday gift after reading about it here on the forum. Any advice on 2016 electrical issues would be greatly appreciated.

You can get a lot more rubber for a lot less money if you stick with 16" wheels. Take 1/2 the new wheel money and put Clazzio leather on your seats.

They are 16" wheels. 285/75/16 General Grabber AT2 wrapped around them. Used a 1.25" wheel spacer with them and I have no rubbing issues at all. No trimming required.

It sounds like an installation problem where the wiring harness might not be properly grounded.

Download the install instructions from OEM and watch the install video.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c37zgaUQsVo&feature=youtu.be

Watch the part where the amp is installed under the seat. You'll need a 14mm socket to loosen the seat and lean it back. (really easy to do)

Under the carpet is a ground point, make sure the ground wire from the harness is bolted down.

Beyond that, you will have to follow the install instructions and retrace all wire connections to make sure they did the install correctly.

It's the dealers job to prove it. They can't legally void any warranty at all due to aftermarket equipment. Bring the truck in, tell the dealer to fix it and prove it's the install causing it. if they can prove it, bring the receipt to the installer. if they can't prove it, it's under warranty, period. I ran a car stereo shop for 9 years, I've heard it all. The dealer will never put in writing that installing a stereo or other electrical component will void the electrical systems warranty. it's ILLEGAL for them to even say it to you. Just the dealer being the dirt bags they naturally are.

I did the interior trim painting but I decided to also do the window switch area. Looks pretty good IMO.
Any idea how to remove the two grey pieces in the steering wheel, the grey piece surrounding the climate controls, and the grey piece around the shifter (automatic trans)?

Installed the Toyota roof rack today... I will use it occasionally but mainly just love the look and how it folds up to keep wind noise down. The Baja Rack on my 4Runner was loud as hell and cost 2 mpg off when on the highway. So, kept things a bit milder this time. Install took about an hour and a half from opening box to cleaning up tools. Happy with results. Picked up cheap off ebay.

Excited, new tires are going on tomorrow morning.
