I fly business class for anything over 12hrs total flight duration - that being said I've been on Luftansa, swiss air, delta, korean air, emirates and etihad. (might be missing some) and etihad/emirates business class was my favorite.

I went to China once for work, so I got business for that. Where I am now I won't have to travel again (hopefully).

There are a few TW members on there that I came across. I have the same user name over there also. I think the difference with the F150 forum is, a lot of people bought their F150 as a plain work truck and only log on to research something or if they have an issue. The ones modifying their trucks, most of them are Raptor-driving flat brimmers, the rest are pretty cool. Lots of knowledge there but definitely a different atmosphere. I use it primarily for the B/S/T section and research before cutting into wires or if I think something is up with the Ferd.

Ya regional planes are junk too. I generally take the commuter jet to DCA or CLT and then its 12 seat prop plane from there. Thank god for bose headphones too, cause the prop planes are like riding in a tin can

I have definitely noticed that about the Raptors, and they've got their own forum anyway so even those threads are fairly slow-moving.

Speaking of wiring mods, though, I ordered up the factory bed light kit and I'm going to be installing that, but for some reason I've seen claims online saying that the dealership will have to activate them in the computer? Seems like BS; from what I can tell they run off of the same harness as the cab-mounted bed light, so once they're plugged in they should have current. :notsure:

I ended up just installing a set of the Sylvania Silver Star headlights, too. Much better. Had the dealership check the alignment on the headlights, too, and they were pointing low. Said it's not that uncommon from the factory, for some reason. Maybe they're setting the alignment while they're still on the assembly line rather than when the weight of the truck is resting on the suspension.

I helped @Unchained 5150 wire his bed lights up. They tap into your existing cab light circuit and activate/dim with the rest of the interior lights. Nothing needs to be activated.

About what I figured; didn't make sense that they wouldn't work if you plugged them in and gave them current, lol.

You need to be careful with some of the electronics on the Ford, some of them go back to the ECU so it might not work like you'd want it to if you just tap into something. That being said, I don't think you'd have an issue with bed lights.
I'd guess that's all you have to do. I bought new tow mirrors that had puddle lights, just plugged them in and they worked, apparently I was pre-wired for them which was pretty cool.

Now, having said that, Rick's truck is a secon gen. Things MAY be different. I'm following your logic and agree 100% though.

I haven't had good luck with the Silver star bulbs. One would blow every year, so I stopped buying them. I think there was actually a class action lawsuit against Sylvania because of their Silverstars.

I ran them in the Tacoma; first set burned out inside of 6 months and I warranteed them out, and the replacement set was still in there when I traded it. :notsure:

Obviously they don't last as long because they burn hotter, but I'm hoping they've worked out the bugs (because changing them on this thing's kind of a pain).

If not, I'll go back to the GE Nighthawks. Those always lasted really well for me, even if they weren't quite as bright as the Silver Stars.

Honestly I think that most of the new trucks are prewired for everything. I've got remote start if I ever want to pick up the key fob and have the dealership activate it (I had them check when they were adjusting my headlights).

Makes sense, I suppose. It's probably cheaper to buy ONE wiring harness design and use it in all of the trucks rather than a separate harness for every trim level.

Been sitting at my desk too damn long today. Plus, I stayed up later than normal watching the Pats last night so I decided to take an extra hr of sleep this morning and skip the gym in hopes of going at some point this afternoon

Looking into getting new tires, I have the dunlops that came on the truck when I bought it and I am looking to upgrade a bit. I was wondering what you guys/gals have had good/bad experiences with. Im looking to keep a similar style to the dunlops.

Edit: looking for all seasons that are decent in snow

I like my Michelins, can't go wrong with either the Michelin MS2 or AT2. Pretty much anything you get will be better than the stock Dunlops.
