I rolled over 75K on my 2013 recently. I didn't record the mileage when I mounted my Maxxs but I know it was between 10-15K. So that puts them at 60K miles (minimum) of use and they look great. Still have some tread life but I am looking forward to some freshies in the near future.

I hear you Ron I'm always praying for snow.

I love big snowstorms when you need to clean off the truck and then you strap in for an adventure from your home.

The quietness of the fresh snow and the comfort of heat and with blowing snow just outside the windshield------fun fun It's like a different world inside the truck :)

Can anyone who's had both AT3's and Maxx in the snow compare their differences?

I know neither have that Snowflake rating but I just want to avoid horrible snow performance that would be dangerous.

(I'm the guy that will drive through blizzards to get to the mountains to shred)

Consider myself an experienced cautious driver in snow but now with kids (Precious cargo) giving extra consideration.

Ideally considering winter / Summer sets but curious if I should just roll the ST Maxx's year round. Here in CO the snow doesn't linger too much.

I just got really lucky when I bought the truck. The dude I got it from was the 3rd owner, and he had an FJ that he drove as a daily. The previous owners were both his cousins, and both were military, so when they deployed, the truck was only run minimally.

Once my build is done, I'm hoping to put more miles on, even though it isn't my daily.

I'm really stoked to see how these do in the snow. I went ahead and had them studded, just for some added assurance.

Where are you here in Colorado?

Not sure I want studded snows but I've never run so curious how they do for a commuter running 60 miles a day minimum?

I daily drive my truck. No set distance, I drive to multiple job sites a day, maybe an hour and half total drive time everyday. They are great!

So I just got mine mounted. Initial impressions are typically kinda biased because you are coming from a worn out set that has lost its romance with you so you have to take what I am saying with a grain of salt.
I had 255/75/17 BFG mud TA on my truck. I had put around 50k on them. They took me all over the US. In the end they were louder than I could stand. They were awful in rain. I was glad to be done with them.

Enter the Cooper's. They are the 255x80x17 mounted on my factory TSS wheels. No lift yet but it's on it's way. No way I would take it off road right now. Initial impression. Smooth and quiet. The truck just flat out rolls better. Tracks true for me. My radio can now stay on 22 and I can hear it fine. Corners fine for me. Not a huge diff from the BFG. I'm running 31PSI all the way around but I'll do a chalk test and see what they like now and then again after the lift.
Overall I am very happy. I researched tires till I was blue in the face. I'll be taking a road trip in October and get to test them more then. Oh yeah, pics to come.
