Yes, it does. Waxes in general have that issue, that's just the nature of how they work.

Put it on a table and try to hammer it down evenly, that might work

I tried Meguiars Black Wax on my folding cover and it works good. Everything else got burned by the sun and turned gray. So far this has stayed black.

    a bunch of new/used parts....and some skids.
not much rub at all. maybe at full lock there is the tiniest of rubbing on the spindle. rides pretty nice for the last 12k. no indication that they are rubbing while I'm driving about like shiny spots on the inside of the wheel or anything.

Push carrier bearing onto the shaft until it's as far as you can push it, the use your old nut to finish seating it all the way. Then put new nut on and stake it to hold driveshaft together, don't even need a vice

how do i keep the shaft from spinning while I crank the bolt down to ~150ft*lbs with the driveshaft out of the truck completely? that is the true question.

Does anyone know the hub diameter of the 08 TRD OFFROAD? Is it 106mm? The wheels I'm going to be getting are 106.5mm bore diameter.

I had a helper when I did mine. And I just took a breaker bar and torqued it as best I could. As long as you get it tight and get a good stake on the nut it's not gonna go anywhere

The Taco's hub bore is 106mm. Toyota uses hub centric wheels...so I would assume the TRDs bore is the same. If your new wheels have a tad bigger bore it's best if they use tapered lug nuts to help center them...assuming they use that type. A 1/2 mm difference is too small to use hub ring for centering.
