How many km per litre are you guys averaging? My combined city/Hwy is at 8.6 km/L. I commute 50km round trip 5-6 days a week to work 50-90km p/hour

Where are you? that you get 33 MPG..??? Is your commute down hill BOTH ways and always a hurricane behind you...?? Using KM/L, I assumed you were in Canada, but when I checked out the numbers, you must be in the US.

You know that would be...20.2285 MPG US... That's normal, I think with easy driving and not heavy a foot...

IN Canada we got bigger gallons, and I can got 26.4 MPG the other day... Hwy/Cruise...!!

That's pretty bad for a Prius. What do you get in your Tacoma?

Hi guys, I have a question.

I may be buying a 2017 soon. Currently waiting to sell another car first.

What i'm wondering about is dealer price.

Seems like no toyota dealer in my area (North of Montreal) is selling below MSRP.

I'm going to be aiming for a Double Cab, SR5 with TRD Sport package.

On the Toyota website, the configurator lists it at 42,290$ and that's exactly what they are telling me.

When I ask if there's some room, they get all fussy and say "mayyyyybe we can drop it a tiny little bit but Toyota doesn't give us much room".

So, are they all playing the same game or is that true?

I see some guys in this thread got good deals on 2016's but is that a end-of-year thing or can I find a dealer willing to dance a little?

    Thanks!

Toyota dealers have a habit of not moving much. Especially on a 2017 when the have 2016's still on their lots. Negotiate until you have to walk out the showroom, if they chase you down in the parking lot, there is still a little room. If they let you go, now you know their bottom price.

I figured as much. Since i'm selling my car myself, all the negotiation is going to happen for the Tacoma. And since i'll have cash-in-hands, I'll pit them against each other a little.

In my area, seems like there are NO 2016 left. And of course, the ones that don't have any refuse to tell me if there are some nearby even though they can check.

They move fast, especially if someone can save a few bucks. Some people don't care model year, others do.

BTW: Welcome to TW. Coming from an Ex-Montreal native, from the other side of the Island.

Shop around and tell them cash deal. I didn't pit any dealer against another. I told them to give me there best price and I would go with my best deal. I'm not going to let one dealer cut another guys throat for a couple hundred. If they don't give me their best price up front too bad.

I got my double cab trd off road auto for $42,500 out the door. That includes Trd skid plate, bed mat, tub style floor mats and all fees and taxes.

When the 2016's just came out, it was quite common for many to get over $2000 off msrp (here in Alberta anyways)….I saw one guy get $3000 off…I was able to get it down below $2800 msrp. I think you just need to play hardball or move on….and in the end, if it's worth paying msrp for you, then do it.

Just wanted to say hey to all Canucks :canada:. Just got my '16 Tacoma its an Access Cab SR5 V6 4x4 in MGM last Friday. I was debating for a long time if I should get one test drove it 5-6 times and waited for the Honda Ridgeline to be avialable. Test drove the Ridgeline and it just drove too much like my wife's old minivan.

That is everything. No extra fees, or taxes.

Not sure maybe I shouldn't be posting price or dealer name. Mods if you don't like it, delete it please.

Plus you'd have to get a set of Birkenstocks if you bought the ridgeline. Lol

Thanks for all the replies regarding prices!

I guess i'll have to see when that time comes. If the dealers in Quebec are in a habit of not being flexible on price, Ontario is not very far from my place, I can check there too!
