    SAME issue!! trucks at Yota as we speak trying to figure it out for 3rd try. Any word yet!? seems were of the few with this issue.
    Ill keep you posted as well.

    EDIT:
    After reading your post a little closer we may have similar but different issues.
    My only issue is open throttle from a dead stop and it "hesitates" at exactly 1500rpms in 1st gear. It almost feels like its stalls and i almost come to a stop before it climbs again.
    And a clunk shifting down from 2nd to 1st :mad:

    Alright, so after a very disappointing call with Toyota Corp, they have decided to turn me down since they could not replicate during the tech/engineer's test drive. They agree with me when I present the issue of safety, but are not willing to move forward unless they can replicate it. What a pity, it's the only issue I have left on this truck (that I know of), to make it what I was hoping it would be when buying a new Toyota product. I'm sure people have very different opinions on how I should move forward, but I will take some time to think about it. I'm not sure if it's worth my time bringing my attorney into the picture, and I don't think the issue is prevalent enough for me to Lemon Law it. However, if this issue cause the transmission to fail down the road they sure are gonna pay for one or I will take legal action. If anyone has any questions or comments please don't hesitate to comment or PM me. Have a good weekend everyone!

    Thanks! I told the guy: "my truck having intermittent acceleration issues is similar to a vehicle with intermittent brake issues. I don't care if you can't replicate it, it's still hazardous condition!" :mad: He had to concur, but no help offered...

    Maybe you guys can use cell phone video with the trucks acting up since they give you the bullcrap claim they cannot replicate the issue.

    You should get a hard code for a stuck solenoid . Lights will pop up on the dash

    Having trouble with my 2016 v6 trd off road transmission, howling rear end and chirping fuel pump getting no help from two dealerships in the Richmond va area they are waiting for Toyota corp I feel like they are stalling for time to get another tsb out the ones that bought these trucks the first seven month including me were told its normal then a bullshit tsb comes out

    If it's happening almost daily, then get a dashcam or other device to record the issue. I'm hoping that would convince them there is a problem. If not, it's good to have if this ever goes to court.

    I have to agree that it's hard to fix something you can't replicate. Having video showing the exact issue would help a lot.

    Data-logging in addition to the video would be even better. The Torque app can do some basic data logging, though I haven't messed with it enough to know how useful it would be here.

    Get it on video. Run a GoPro and you will have hard evidence, which is admissisable in court.( and YouTube)

    Can burnt up ATF affect the resistance values read by temperature sensors?
    Can a 'defective' one, give wonky values?

    I feel it's total bullshit to even replicate the problems with the memory and history built into computer they (Toyota) knows for a fact theirs a problem just don't know what do at this time just like me get rid of or wait

    Temp sensors are designed to function within certain temperatures . I think Toyota temp sensors are allowed to function from 25-305 . If they go out of range " wonky " , you get a code and the sensor usually defaults to ice cold with no overdrive or converter lock up until its fixed .
    Going back to your idea of the SLT solenoid , I have seen solenoids fail mechanically and no codes present . The ball inside the solenoid doesn't seat properly causing the transmission to slip ( a big hydraulic leak ) . The computer doesnt trip a code because when the computer commanded an upshift , the solenoid performed as it should

    Believe it or not, not everything is computer controlled or recorded.

    Basic example. You still have to check your engine oil level.

    They 'can', but they don't. Yea, some high dollar cars do, most don't. Dipstick is too cheap and easy.

    They use the computer as part of the trans level checking process (correct temp to check). The actual check is still accomplished manually, by opening the overflow plug. Ridiculous IMHO. You can read up on it here.
