In all honesty, I just don't want that orange stuff on my gear.

Don't get lingerie mixed up with swimwear, and I'm trying to forget and cherish the memory at the same time.

Not really. My little ladies is getting an edjumacation! Hopefully on a scholarship...

Written and Physicals aren't that bad, don't rush through your written. When you get done, just sit there for a minute and let your brain cool off, then go back and check all your answers. I dunno if they've changed the physical req's in the last few years but when I took it, IRRC there may have been pushups and situps, then the 165lb dummy drag. That one kinda sucks, biggest tip for that is to just try your hardest not to trip over your own feet.
Then theres the 6ft wall jump, really not that bad, but do yourself a favor and climb up, and then climb back down and not try to be BA and just hop over it and almost sprain an ankle right before the run. The run was pretty straight forward, you have a couple minutes to run up the parking lot, down to the end of the block and back. I wouldn't say it was at a sprint, but I was running pretty hard back when I was semi in shape and got past the line with seconds to spare.

If you get through that stuff, interviews are next IIRC, pretty straight forward, 2-3 investigators are gonna ask about your background and go through your records and resume and all that. You can google a generic list of questions they might ask, so you can semi prepare for what they ask. The best method there is to be 100% honest and straight forward with it all. These guys will smell bullshit a mile away and will find out anything you lied about anyways.

When I went to mine I'd heard stories about good cop/bad cop and how one guy was gonna be grilling me the whole time, and none of that happened. It was probably one of more relaxed interviews I've had since I was able to be 100% honest and just let the cards lie on the table. The 2 guys were joking with me for most of the time, and it was all pretty light hearted!

And then I got turned down at backgrounds for taking bad advice and lying about shit on my backgrounds paperwork (that wasn't brouht up at interviews) Bada bing bada boom, 2 years wasted trying to be a cop lol

I posted this on the car porn thread, but thought it would be appropriate here as well. This Sunday our car club is putting on our 8th car show in Elk Grove. Any American car can register, attendance is free for all. We are expecting more than 200 vehicles, will have food, music and some pretty nice raffle prizes. Benefits the local food bank. Not a bad way to spend the day...

    He did?

Nobody said they'd go. He didn't even say it was ever cancelled even though it was cancelled twice and he made other plans. No fucks given.
