I have a 2009 SR5 with the factory 6 Disc changer (No XM Radio).
Does anyone know if the external XM antenna cover on the roof actually contains a working antenna or is it just a cover. I am hoping that it's integral to the cover and I might find the antenna lead tied off to the harness in the dash.
    Any Ideas?

Yeah, I'm sure the aux would work that way, I just didn't know if there was an antenna lead hidden in the dash that I can make use of.

Would the 2009 service manuals be out yet and would they tell me how the cover comes off. I'm interested in modding a GPS antenna into the cover and using the existing antenna lead if it is there. GPS frequencies are lower, so any losses in the feed line should be less than its use as an XM antenna.

If there is anyone in the service know that could help out it would greatly appreciated!
