I was deeply saddened to wake up to all my likes gone. GONE. The world is truly a dark place today.

    Ahh, Yaaa, mmmm NO.

I drove, towed (about 2,000 mi.), commuted (60 mi. per day) for 11,307 mi. with the Taco. Unless you are wheelin regularly there is no comparison for the other daily duties like commuting ( 1st tank, 27.9 hand calc. 90% Hwy 50% with the air on and 10 mi +/- towing) or towing which seems to be a bit better with the Ridgeline. Reset the hitch set-up this morning and had a short tow ( 10 mi +/-) in preparation for next weekends trip.

Talking about it here tho is like :deadhorse:
I will admit that I do miss the 'ol manual trans tho. :burnrubber: in spite of the surgey engine and clunky drivetrain. Kind of reminded me of my Grandpa's old '59 Ford Ranchero pick up with the read end howl . No wait, it was smoother......

I'm still hang out here because of the liveliness of this place while the Ridgeline place is BORING!!

It is great to see such a dedicated group of enthusiasts so passionate about their vehicle  and of course you all look cooler but I'm old and don't give a sh**!

Link to the Taco for sale. I left the trailer brake controller in it also. http://www.legendstoyota.com/used/Toyota/2016-Toyota-Tacoma-3e27ee890a0e0a171807badcb90d4412.htm

You're not wrong, and I'd totally rock the Ridgeline if I was blind or had the tastes of a washed out, late 30's soccer mom.

I can't look at the ridgeline as a truck when it has independent rear suspension and is based of a pilot LOL.
if all you're using it for is daily driving and need some cargo room to lug around all the soccer mom gear then by all means go for it.
I hear its great for putting the kids hockey gear in as well.

If you're going to buy a truck, why not actually buy a truck? Not a SUV/minivan with a bed lol.
The ridgeline is like that monstrosity Ford explorer sport or whatever it was thing. The suv with a bed.
But oh well hope you enjoy your crossover.

Just remember, your kids are not professional athletes, so do not start fighting with the ref or other parents over the refs calls. Those things tend to go hand in hand with crossover/minivans lol.

    yes that disgusting thing

Sorry I just can't take the ridgeline for a real truck. My brother in law said he wanted one...he now drives a kia minivan LOL.
I can't accept a 'truck' as a truck when it was described as good for the family.

If I may throw out an opinion on the presenters of this youtube vid - you do get some info on the vehicles, but you do have to listen to them whine.

My favorite video with Roman on the TFL site is when he gets his knickers in knot after he bends the nerf bar on his beloved Ford Raptor after hitting a rock while on a BLM shelf road. There was never a word about installing proper rock sliders.

Nathan is a little better, with a little less hand wringing - but if I'm driving an automatic on the highway in hills and the transmission starts hunting for gears - I'll just tap the S-mode button, so it stays in 5th or 4th gear.

Andre I like even though he does break into a sweat when there's a demanding situation.

I'm a big guy 6'2" and weigh 250 lbs - but I fear that Mr. Truck, a.k.a. Ken, wouldn't be able to fit in my 4x4 Tacoma without using a seat belt extender.

Ah, did you even read the post you quoted?

    To clarify for you:

    * I owned a Tacoma with a manual trans.

    * My youngest is a Senior in college so no Soccer/Hockey anything going on.

*It gets parked next to this daily so I know what a truck is and go mudding regularly:IMG_1198.jpgIMG_1354.jpg
