Im pretty bummed I just saw that group buy today, but I saw another guy with some Cali Raised LED Ditch lights. I'm going to order that 4d bar and the 2 ditch lights this weekend to satisfy my lighting needs. My first real "mod" for the taco.. woot!

Yes, I had it that way originally before I added the relay.

I just thought of an advantage to using the relays: If you use a switched 12V source, someone wouldn't be able to break into your truck and easily open your garage door. If that mattered to someone.

I haven't decided what to get yet. I'm torn between the Cali raised in bumper light bar vs the Rough Country in bumper light bar

I was looking at that same one too man, but I just ordered the Cali raised products together, also the Cali one sits behind the bumper as opposed to cutting the bottom trim out to fit the Rough Country one in

I pulled the trigger on the Rough Country bar. I haven't installed it yet, but I have had other light bars from them. They are great quality and extremely bright. The wiring kit that comes from Rough Country is definitely great quality. IMHO you can't beat the price either

It's like it was designed for a can of dip! I quit about 4 months ago so I had to cover the hole as part of the process lol.

How do you take the panel off to put the button switches in it?

It just pops out. Use a panel tool to pry it out, pretty easy task.

You could also grab and pull.
Just don't act like you are trying to pull start a lawn mower because there are wires attached.

The trim around it comes out pretty easily with a panel pry tool (or in a pinch you can pad a screwdriver) and the cubby is just held on to the trim by two screws from the back.

Do you think it's something I could get to from under the dash?

Awesome! I quit 6 years ago, I will never go back. I have a scar on my neck as a reminder; I had a tumor removed from my neck/chest.

It's pretty tight, I wouldn't even bother. Super easy to just pop out the trim piece. Don't make this any harder than it has to be. Hundreds of people (I actually have some pretty good numbers on that BTW, check my sig) have already done it without a single report of irreparable damage. Just do it.
